Maybe I should just start taking commissions.

Kitsch Boys are great for painting.
If you're really concerned with adhesion; rough up the surface with 200-250 grit sand paper, and put down a THIN layer of white primer before you start.
Rust-O-Leum Painters Touch is a great paint to use. Good adhesion, excellent coverage, smooth coat, dries fast, good color selection, inexpensive.
NOTE: If you're going to ad a clear coat, use Duplicolor lacquer clear. Enamel clear will wrinkle up your paintjob.

I meant for "Ripped Off" to be more tongue in cheek.
The coincidental similarities were amusing, and that other console emerged just after mine did.
Sorry if you guys were taking it seriously, I just thought it was funny as hell.

I like where this is going.
It needs a little more crazy stirred in, just to make it interesting.

i want a friend who lives in japan ;___;
but really looking forward to famicom mods. ive been meaning to get one for the longest. they are just so darn sexy
Funny thing; I've been looking forward to Famicom mods as well! Circumstances have been kicking my ass for the last month, and I'm finally (almost) back on track.
If you're looking to get a FC, just wait until after the mod tutorials come out, as two of them will probably be for sale.

Famicom Progress!
Look what just arrived from Japan!
I also got a copy of Kunio Dodgeball to add to my collection.
I guess Manuel suspected that I was an unapologetic Japanophile (100% fact) so he sent me some miscellaneous gaming and TV mags to add to my ridiculous collection of literature I can barely read.
Now, the HD camera is the last piece of the puzzle.

There is a problem with the screen.
It's potentially fixable... but the process of fixing it could actually make it worse.

My younger brother said he'd send me one of his dead DMG's.
He lives in Wisconsin, and I have no idea when he'll actually send it, so now I get to play the waiting game...

You are correct about the DNA vs. Mineral Spirits... no idea what I was thinking there. I know better than that. I probably meant ethanol, but we'll just chalk it up to me being a moron.
As for using mineral spirits on a PCB, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah. Everything mentioned above is why I suggested using isopropynol.
You'll get it nice and clean, no residue, no risk of water droplets shorting anything out.
Also, the best thing for removing solder flux is DNA (mineral spirits) or acetone with a chem brush.
