Hi,

Just created an account, i have done this one last week.

- Custom buttons
- Backlighted and biverted with Hex chip.

Looks good man.
I was afraid of doing the yellow on red combination because I though it might make it look like it was sponsored by McDonalds or something. You proved me wrong, and I think it looks great.
Welcome to cm.o

A fresh grip of parts is on the way.
Time to dig the keyboard out of the box, and get back to work...

You ready for this shit?!

what? i get made something semi useful?

The picture was really low quality and it does "POP". I used really cheap wall mart paint to do it.

All I was saying is that it didn't pop like I though it would... not like the clear PIL.

maybe press some silly putty into the holes from the outside.... just enough to plug the holes

paint and then remove the putty

just a thought..."

A technique I've been doing for a long time.

OOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
That's much nicer.
I was going to do a splatter pattern and my logo in purple with a lime green background, and it looks like it'll work pretty well.
Thanks.

I thought the paint would pop through a little more than that.

You think that Eye Candy (of all places) would have a clear shell... bummer.

Hmmmmm... That's not the result I was expecting.

Teh D3th St4r is asking a question?!

Yes... yes I am.

Anyway, I'm working with an original Glacier GBA right now, and I was wondering if anybody has painted the inside of theirs. If so; could you post some pics so I can get an idea of what it looks like?
I tried hunting down a completely transparent shell, but had no luck... and if anybody knows where one can be found, I'd really appreciate that too.

I'm starting a web series that covers game maintenance, mods, and repair.
I'm trying to open each episode with a humorous short.

Any feedback you can offer will help me in making a more entertaining and informative show for you to watch.
I don't need any feedback on the video or audio quality, that's just a matter of equipment, and I'm working hard to improve that.

Thanx!

PM me, and we'll discuss it further.

Don't dismay, I'll be posting a SNES overhaul video in a couple weeks.
I know it doesn't help you right now, but I'm confident you'll be able to get your venerable old Super NIntendo working again.

I always use the Montana mtn94 series. Matte paint. Dries quickly, and never had it chip off.

Can I have a product #? I'd love to try it out.

I usually use Montana to paint my gameboys, with Montana spray-on clear coat.

If you use different kinds of paint, the save idea is to use acrylic based clear coat.
Belton is also a good one.

Montana Gold doesn't have that great of adhesion to plastic. Drop your DMG once, and it will start chipping out from there... also Montana acrylic clear is formulated specifically for Montana Gold colors, and if you try to use it on other paints, there's a good chance you'll wrinkle the finish. I know for a fact it'll mess up Krylon, Rust-oleum, and Duplicolor.

That being said, Montana gold has a BRILLIANT selection of colors, it dries incredibly fast, has solid coverage, doesn't run (unless you want it to) and will hold up (fairly well) on plastic if you lay down a coat of Rust-oleum Painters Touch primer.

I still stand behind the lacquer finish though, that shit's like armor plating.

What about Kitch's backlights?

Kitsch doesn't have much in stock ATM

Yeah, inverted purple and teal only? Pass.
I'm still waiting for someone to produce GBA and GBA SP buttons in an array of offensive colors, so I can feel comfortable flaunting some more of my mods... stupid gray buttons.
*that's a subtle hint*

I'm still in high school.

Same here, planning on going for Electrical Engineering (and maybe business, who knows)

I recommend electrical engineering. The majority of the unemployed college graduates have business degrees, and there's a sore lack of engineers of any kind in America... that, and being an engineer is rad (you get to build stuff for a living).

I'm once again the Mod/Repair tech at Level Up Video Games in Santa Cruz CA.
Hoping to change careers by the end of the year and be a full time youtuber... and hopefully have my chip music reach a level worth listening to.
