I feel like kitsch has been sold out every time I've checked, ahaha. If anyone has some, would the neighborhood of ten bucks (USD) be good sine they're not around so much? Though I may have to wait for a check to go through before paying for anything.

I remember playing Zelda II on a retron3 sounding bad, but wanted to make sure it wasn't just the console specifically, ahaha. Thanks guys.
@little-scale, I am in love with Dynasty. It's such a trip. big_smile

I'm talking stuff like retroduo. And are the sound chips the same?

You guys are rad. smile
I taught myself guitar when I was 11, then bass, then cello, then piano, then synth. I recently got into building guitar pedals and playing with Gameboy, Atari, and NES. I am currently the bassist, lead vocalist, keyboardist, and producer of a neo-psychedelia trio. big_smile

Thanks yogi. I'll likely do the RCA mod or the stereo mod at some point soon, too. While I'm still figuring it all out. I'll play some Donkey Kong until I get the mod started.

Like, MIDI --> Atari 2600 with full control over all sounds and frequencies with sample playback.

That sounds so rad! big_smile

Just ordered a 2600, Synthcart, and touchpad, by the way. smile

Thanks for the info guys! The only synths I have are a microKORG XL and a Gameboy Pocket running Nanoloop, so I'm obviously not too familiar with the timbre of a 2600, but I'm super into pitch bends, so detuned notes shouldn't be a problem. smile
And @little-scale, is the interface for using the 2600 as a controller, or using a controller for the 2600? yikes

2600 is what I'm thinking would be nice to start on.

Just synthcart? Or are mods recommended? And could an amp be used?

Genesis controllers generally run at like 5 bucks. No harm in trying it out! I definitely want to when I can

That's cool. I've got tons of Genesis and MS controllers lying around. Does Commodore have the same pinout, too?

EDIT: @nerdsome What model is yours? A wood grain?

That'd be rad! I've also heard that Sega Genesis controllers work on the 2600 for whatever reason.

I don't think I've ever looked online, which is likely my fatal flaw in this scenario. And I miss Pitfall, man.

That sounds awesome. Haven't seen a working 2600 in a while. Do you have a price in mind? And does one of the games you have happen to be Pitfall?

tl;dr? Or does no one want to? xD
