So basically, you're an outsider who has never had any interest in making chiptunes himself but see an emerging trend with the like 1% of the scene that is making any money with this and you think you can barge in and make this into the next big wave and cash in?

Let me be the first to be truly honest with you then: Fuck off mate. This way to the egress.

It was the first time ever using a dremel and I definitely have to work on it. (Any advice / easier ways to have cut a hole would be awesome)

Haha. Yeah I remember the first time I bought a rotary tool thinking I could be able to carve microscopic things perfectly in any surface. Then I tried it and the tool just goes in all direction of its own accord. The problem is that these tools are very fast and once the attachment bites into the surface it's pretty hard to keep it going straight.

So.. useful tips:
1-   <- worth the investment in the long run. But not usable for every job you want the dremel for.
2- Draw the shape you want to cut on the surface. Punch a dent with a knife tip in the middle of the shape and use that to stabilize the dremel bit and drill a hole. Keep using that drill bit to carve out the shape, but don't get up to the edge of the shape. The bit will want to work in a clockwise direction, so always carve out clockwise instead of fighting the bit.  For soft materials like plastic, finish the job with rubber polishing bits. They will erode the plastic slowly and you can get a fairly decent and precise job done with them. The bits will get damaged, but they're a dime a dozen so meh.
3- For most carving jobs, use the lowest possible speed, it takes longer but it's easier to keep under control.

A 20w keyboard amp is not going to cut it with a band.

Keyboard amps are like bass amps, you need a lot of wattage. You're basically amplifying the entire spectrum and not just a narrow mid-ish band like a guitar amp. You also generally don't want to introduce any unwanted distortion to your sound at high volumes. So unless everybody else in the band is playing electronically or can tone down their volume somehow without affecting their tone/style/blabla, you'll need at least 100w to even be heard over a drum kit.

Your best bet is to hook up into the PA, if you have one, until you can get a decent sized amp.

I had a KC550 (180w) with my old band, and we would still need to be careful. My 80w guitar tube amp would eat it right up. You have to buy your amps according to the loudest instrument's minimum volume. If you're playing with a real drum kit then that's what you have to compete against. If you use drum tracks or an electronic kit, then yeah... you can get away with 20w. It just won't be a very loud band rehearsal.

If you don't feel your music is going to take over the world and make you a rockstar, it's not ready for release.

Somewhere in the world, a grammar teacher just shed a big fat tear.

One other thing I've just noticed. All the klystrack processes that are stuck in the process list and cannot be killed also register as a sound source when you open Win's volume mixer.

Yup, they work just fine. Anything 1232 and up crashes when I close the program.

I doubt its the hardware setup. I never had this problem until 1232. Plus I can still run older versions like 1219 and they close just fine.

stderr.txt says:

[WARNING] SDL_RWFromBundle file font.bmp not found
[WARNING] SDL_RWFromBundle file font.bmp not found
[WARNING] SDL_RWFromBundle file font.bmp not found

Which isn't really useful since it gives this message for version down to 1172.

i never called it or anything else "an article about chiptune".

Yet this thread is called "I WROTE AN ARTICLE ON HOW TO CHIPTUNE"

But anyways. The article is meh, and the writing/vocabulary is awful. I fail to see the point of it really when a simple Google search will give you better and more extensive information. If you get asked 5 times a month for this information, tell them to learn how the internet works.

Ah yeah. Dass wut I'm talkin'bout.

I still crash with the process being stuck in the list when I try to quit though. Anything I can do to help you with that? There doesn't seem to be any kind of log anywhere hmm I'm about to reinstall Windows though, I'll let you know if that fixed anything.

w00ts. Will download that right away.

Any movement on the chorus? smile

This shit sounds beastly.

the colours.. the colooooursssszzzz.

From what I can tell his name has nothing to do with the software. It seems to be more of a mix of LSD and DJ. He has nothing to do with chiptunes and isn't probably even aware of the software.

There is very little to build any kind of case here IMO.
