Cool. If I lived in Scotland I would be right there.

@ZenAlbatross: If I could think of one more modular synthesizer topic worthy of an article on Motherboard, you should get them doing one on Raymond Scott. ^.=.^

Pretty much this whole thread....

I believe some people change their musical persona....

The others....

I don't know where they went and this thread is making me think the same thing.

I've downloaded DOSBox, AT2 and Formyfriends. Looks like the beginnings of an ATpile!

@pnada: Korg Electribe ESX1 would not only sample the LSDJ, but it can sync to it. I don't understand the questions you are asking, but for producing and performing electronic music on portable gear you may want to research hardware samplers, like Boss SP202, Akai MPC500, Korg ESX1 and Yamaha SU10.

I do get really annoyed when people don't appreciate a difference between DUB and DUBSTEP, so apologies if I was harsh.

@NinjetiPanda: CM.org is a community where you can leave the assholes and trolls behind, but I still think anyone who wants to instantly be a remixing producer with a purchase of a box should be mocked instantly.

For a cheap line mixer, I will recommend Behringer to everyone. I have the XENYX 1002B line mixer. heart

I assume you have used other music tools. But erms, that's a bit over the top of a statement.

I've never used DS Friend codes, but how would trading over a forum work? Does it require being in a room together?

PM'd. The Delfy sync better go to Disassembler and not go to some asshole who doesn't know how to use it.

who the fuck is catdog

edit: wait i remember now, apparently he's from Jersey. Ask Will (Collier).

Now I'm remembering, I was on Scolex Recordings Winter Compliation with Catdog. I wonder if he's going to play my Nanoloop track.

I am friends with a hardcore dj from the midwest rave scene, and I think by what I hear from our conversations has survived well in the underground (I have not been to a warehouse rave in the midwest so I can't speak from experience). It's not like any scene has ever had it different than rave. Chip music has similar growing issues. First it's demoscene parties and LSDj and Nanoloop making their earliest beginnings, then next thing dubstep reggae 8-bit all on YouTube. But doesn't mean that chip music nights don't exist for those concerned about chip music's growing issues.

And I think growing old and grumpy does suck. :c
