look for a ltc 1799. mod your gameboy. get an idea of what an oscillator does to a synth. The half clock mod is good too, but if you use a variable resistor, you will have the means to tweak sounds. there are sweet spots where i have gotten nice bass even with the noise channel. if you want a good bass, set a pulse instrument you like to pan left, set another to play at the same time panned right. put your wav instrument to right and your noise to left. use all four channels, and if needed get another gameboy and another lsdj.
Just experiment.

I like that guitar fits with it so well. having the means to revisit old neuropathways of videogame music and add to those experiences is kinda good for clearing my head.

i wonder if i can just do what i did to my casio sk-100... just added a rca jack to the mic on the board. kinda sloppy, i know, but low volume stuff makes good samples.

dude, if you can, try keeping it functional. having a ds with no lights would mean longer battery life. i would be interested in that. if i kill my original ds when i desolder the clock crystal and add the gbaccelerator ds, i would consider sending you 1 of the frontlight panels ( if mine has that) do you absoluteley need 2? i wanted to frontlight a dmg...the unmodded lcd is like the color of money.

the cheap way out: little sony voice recorder. plug headphone jack of computer to mic of recorder set it to the highest quality and set computer master volume to 3 or 4.
