@mostlytoast it will take me a bit but I can give you a link to a place that does small run PCB production for a decent price.  A lot of the peeps creating DIY stuff on the Mutable Instruments forum use them.  I believe you can order batches of 15.

Still has a battery.  Drag and Derp is about as close to what your after as you can get at the moment.  It has USB to drag and drop your file but uses flash based tech for .sav and ROM files.

"I had literally just thought about asking people if they ever share .sav files.  I recently got a cart from Katsumbhong and it had a full song already on it and I've found it to be a wonderful learning tool for LSDJ.  It's cool to go into each section of someone else's songs and see how they were constructed and listen to them at the same time.  Will be buying this for sure!"

I posted this in saskrotch's release thread and was curious if anyone shares their LSDJ .sav files?  Like I said I found looking through the song Katsumbhong left on the cart he sent me to really help me learn how LSDJ works more so than tutorial videos etc.

Bump one last time then it hits eBay.  $40 shipped and Includes a headphone adapter cable.  It's the AGS-101 backlight model which was the brightest SP backlight model released for anyone who doesn't already know.

there really isn't a cheap, small, active mixer available

have you seen the ART stuff? they do a lot of small utility thingies

heres a cheap small active mixer with 3 stereo inputs & volume control in a metal enclosure that is about the size of a gameboy

anyway cool idea justwanted to save you from potentially reinventing the wheel

At $90 it's twice the price he is proposing his project will cost.  @mostlytoast have you thought about offering DIY kits as well?  After building a few bleep labs kits and a shruthi I enjoy building kits and the nice prices DIY entails.

Love the cover art!  I'll check out the music now.

Oh man.

If I sounded like an ass it was not intentional.  When I googled Labrador some kind of workers union in Sweden or something to that effect.  I was seriously wondering lol.

Meh I've been off Facebook for almost a year now.  Too much real life drama for me even with the ability to block people.  It's annoying how many people think it's a dating site and hit on you or your significant other even if your listed as engaged.  I enjoy the focus here.  Google+ is pretty cool too but I haven't seen a significant amount of chipmusic peeps on there yet.  D&D on the other hand has awesome communities.

XD this is too crazy funny.

Lol wtf?  Sorry for that then.  I totally says labradors on my end!

"Really, if I wanted to know the details of the U.S. veteran labradors, I'd go to www.va.gov (which clearly states that the card should be safeguarded) and read about it. If I was interested in general U.S. news, I'd go to a U.S. news website."

I was going off the words "veteran labrador".  In the US it's a breed of dog.  Please do let me know if it means something else in Sweden.  I looked it up in the dictionary and only found dogs and an area of Canada.

There are many US army vets in the community so it is relevant to a good portion of the members here.

I'm sure it is, but is this the relevant site to relay that information? Really, if I wanted to know the details of the U.S. veteran labradors, I'd go to www.va.gov (which clearly states that the card should be safeguarded) and read about it. If I was interested in general U.S. news, I'd go to a U.S. news website.

Also the thread was accurately titled so you should have known before you even clicked in that it was a total waste of your time.

The same goes with spam mail. Just don't click it. It will never ever be a waste of your time.

sxe_weekend wrote:

There is a distinct difference between useful information that affects a good part of the community and "lol look at this picture" threads.

Yes, but is the difference meaningful in the context of chipmusic? Both of them seem completely irrelevant, good intentions aside.

sxe_weekend wrote:

I don't make music with anything other than a gameboy but I'm not claiming the rest of the sub-threads are a useless waste of my time.

Good for you.

sxe_weekend wrote:

Just because something is not relevant to you does not mean it's not useful to others in his community we all share.

My concern is that it is not relevant to the site. My interpretation of what this site is about obviously isn't universal, but I feel like some people would agree that these posts don't really belong here, and that they make this site a less attractive forum for discussing and reading about chipmusic.

Maybe you missed the where Kitsch chimed in.  I don't feel like internet battling over opinions.  You obviously have an issue with America in General and regard soldiers as dogs.  I'm far from patriotic but I do realize most soldiers have good intentions and I respect them simply for the fact that they are doing something they choose to do which in effect keeps our government from forcing us to do...
