I prefer using 4000 series logic for simple synth making. With the various gates and timers there are available you can (and people have) create full modular synthesizers. Most go under the name 'Lunetta Synth'.  555 is pretty limited for audio applications to be honest.

Hmmm very interesting. I again want to ask DSC to chime in with his side of the story.

Well it isn't 100% confirmed but this user has dozons of completed midiNES listings on ebay with region unlocked chips (rev 1.1.1), and has a seemingly endless supply of them. I'm convinced its wafar.

I didn't think to check the location of the seller mmmprpl. Still though that's a lot of genMDMs. It just raised a red flag in my mind from the similarities.

In other news. Who is mmmprpl on ebay? is this you DSC? and could this be kindly explained to how you/they have such a large supply of them?

It's looking an awful lot like what wayfar(sykdeity) is doing.

You'd have to get you hands on the rom first though. And just by not releasing that rom shows a clear statement of keeping any outside parties from manufacturing his carts. I guess getting these only to people that have paid for them will be tricky cause people will just say "Oh I didn't receive mine, let me have one of those too"

MidiNES which is being sold on EBay by a seller that seems to have a limitless supply.

I've noticed this as well. sykdeity is the user. Looking through his positive reviews and the completed listings there are dozons of Midines listings.

Might want to check your link, that's a tumblr login page.

Pretty sure you need a tumblr account to view his link. Kinda like what Facebook does.

Can't you just use a gate with a threshold only high enough to kill the hum and nothing else? It's really not even that bad. Just be glad your not playin' with Commodores or something. Those things have quite the hum tongue

Excellent presentation! I like the idea of using a spreadsheet. Very clean.

In all honesty it sounds like a bunch of randomly selected pitches that don't even fall on the timeline correctly. My advice would be not to make every note the same length as you have done here. It won't make you compelled to change the notes so often.

Damn that sid is tasty! Excellent tracks!
