i had a cat named bustopher jones wink

old possum's book of practical cats (?) is a great source for names...

yes, soooo much more difficult and expensive.  these took three revisions to the mould for example, and the cost of raw materials is surprisingly different...

but fun to do wink

some day, probably.  not the first thing on the list though...

since we are limited to only one thread in the trading post section, the choice we have is to alter the first post's title to whatever is currently relevant to the thread, which the last post/update has to do with the buttons...

the title of the thread has to do with my last post, the buttons...

its the workaround for the rules of the trading post (its actually the suggested method mentioned in the rules, and one we've encouraged and enforced).  if the entire thread must relate to the title of the thread, then the rules for the trading post need to be adjusted so thats possible...

V^3 backlight doesn't need the battery indicator to be removed, so there's no need for the bat_DMG. (Sorry Kitsch, lol.)

batt_DMG isn't a battery indicator.  its a low-battery indicator.  the light is illuminated ONLY when the battery drops below a certain point indicating they need to be changed or recharged...

so, its still relevant wink  it serves a totally different function than the normal power light, which simply indicates its on.  this indicates the batteries are low.

^ for those wanting to pay and help you out wink

it matters which model you've currently got...

if you are replacing a side-lit variety, go with variant A.

if a bottom lit variety, go with the new variant B.

it shouldn't be too hard to replace.  the only issue you'd really face is the white plastic around the screen having maybe been cut in a not-so-great position for the new install...  thats the only difficulty i can imagine...

(actually, if you've already gotten your polarization film off and all that stuff, it should be a cinch)

didn't have any in the first place wink

hey everybody -

today, a big box showed up full of t-shirts from ghost clothing wink  and they're great!

http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/gh … g-t-shirts

the last time we carried ghost clothing stuff, the larger sizes went pretty quick so if you are thinking about getting one, it might be best to be prudent.  the designs are all limited edition (to 100 for the most part i think), so if the size gets gone i almost assure you we won't get any more restocks...

check 'em out, some of the designs are spot on...

till next time, keep chipping!

oh, keep your eyes peeled for the release of GBC buttons (i do! listen to your emails) and a new RGB backlight design.  its shaping up to be a busy November...
