(i sent things out to everyone on the list i think, surprise!)

don't let this thread just fade away!  targeted audience!  so much better than handing a flyer out to someone on the sidewalk and they trash it at the next can, right?

^ yeah, that bit of nitro2k01 knowledge is just what i meant!

so, left isn't working....  check...

how's the B button?

(even if its fine, i have a hunch this is the issue)

if you've shorted out the buttons, there isn't a way to fix this.  its damage in the CPU from what i know, i believe it was nitro2k01 who was talking about this recently on here so maybe he'll chime in...

it sounds like that may just be it, unfortunately.  back PCBs being the common issue, and the front one working fine.

is the start button the only one you are having issue with?

this can also be caused (pretty easily in fact) by inserting the LCD PCB's ribbon cable into the back when the power is on.

but that can be found out from particular buttons not working, but i can't recall what they are off the top of my head.

until this is a confirmed event with a time and place, its not for the upcoming events section.   if you want to move the thread when that happens, just PM me and i can do that,

or you can start a thread then for the actual event, that is apart from the recruitment part you're doing now for it.

i name my hard drives.  they are named after stargate sg-1 team members.  yeah.  i'm a geek.

^

i'd be happy to pull them out and run more tests on them if you all would like?  they are packed up right now but I know the box (trying to do some cleaning lately).

if someone would like, send me a sav file that runs through whatever tests you'd like, and I can simply record the playback and post the results.  don't have a problem with this at all.

unless yall give me too much work to do!

http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/utilities

if you get it, go back to that link and add your shipping too, it isn't calculated in from that page

i think you'll find them all here: http://www.noisechannel.org/roboctopus/articles/

no problem.

i'm sure vimeo has some as well, googling will help too, of course.

AND on this site, if you just poke around a while you'll find some worthwhile threads with tips/tricks and the like.

also check out the "LSDJ & You" series at http://www.noisechannel.org/

those are good places to start if you're beginning

in the wiki there are some tutorials.  those will help.

anyone else see the case variant in the auction?

that zig-zag is pretty awesome...  i just now spotted it.

(not to mention all the other changes.  but....  those zig-zags...)

^ i've got two that are basically the same guts as this, they WILL play gameboy carts,

the wav channel is really screwy though...  somewhere, on cm.o i think, this console came up and I posted the results from a sound check ROM there.  the wav channel failed in the test, it would play back data but really screwy.
