Also, something that grinds my gears in general is:

People giving you a zip file where all the songs aren't in a album folder. So instead of just dragging the album folder to my desktop from
the unzip program, I have to create a new folder on the desktop and name it whatever the artists name/album is. This isn't a huge deal, but if you're downloading releases regularly, it's SUPER annoying. Call me lazy or whatever, but I'd say it's the artist/label's laziness.

I'll two-up you on that:

- People who don't give you anyway of streaming / previewing the music in a release. I don't have room on my laptop to download every single chipmusic release but I would like to be able to listen to it and give some feedback... I just can't do that if I can't listen to it. And if I don't know your music, and I don't have any way of previewing it, the chance I'm going to actually download it goes to zero.

- People who don't tag their releases properly. Sure, all the MP3s are in a folder, but when I import them to iTunes I get a jumbled mess or no info at all. Great, now I don't even know who made this song. Happens with stuff uploaded to 8bc / chipmusic.org too. Just remember: ID3 tags are just as much a place for marketing / promoting yourself / building your brand as anywhere else.

you should really add velocity sensitive to what you are looking for.

also the more realistic the action the better.

Yeah I figured that, thanks.

Is anything wrong with getting a MIDI controler keyboard and connecting it to piano software on a computer? If not, I'd recommend teh Edirol PCR series. Get a big one, like 80 key.

I think my wife would much prefer a standalone keyboard that she can practice on away from the computer.

DS10Forum.com presents A Journey Through Space. A worldwide compilation album of tracks featuring KORG DS10/DS10+ synthesizers for Nintendo DS.

If I had to describe this compilation I would say that this is some of the best DS10 music you will ever hear, and if you close your eyes while listening you can see the stars floating by. Words don't do it justice though.

Stream & download at archive.org.

I think I found the best option (Yamaha YPT220) but it's gonna be a bit over $100. Oh well.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice. My wife recently signed us up for a piano class and I need to get something we can practice with at home. Ideally here's what it needs to be:

- Less than $100
- Polyphonic

And here's something I would like:

- MIDI output
- Various cool instrument sounds
- Something I could maybe use onstage after we finish this course

Any suggestions? I think a cheap Casio would probably fit the bill (would like to find something at Best Buy), I just don't know about the MIDI.

I'm thinking of doing a track if it's not too late. If it is, oh well. smile

The sooner the better, I think the problem right now is not enough tracks.

p.s. I'm gonna bring the JERSEY THUNDER!

My wife would just tell them I make electronic house dance music. She wouldn't mention the part about gameboys.
