Hey guys, I guess I'll introduce myself as well. I've been making chiptunes since I was around 11, when I found FamiTracker while searching for god knows what. In the past 3 years I've worked with FamiTracker, LSDJ (lol no songs here wtf), and Ableton Live 9 (I'd include Audaciity, but I don't consider it a music making program. XD). I own a GBC/GBA but lack the funds to get a usb smart card because I'm 14 and a jobless teen. Yaaay no money! So.. yeah. e.e All I ever do when I'm not at school is play minecraft and make music. It's pretty much my only hobbie (loserftw). Thanks for listening to my annoying intro whatever, and I'll be seeing you around.

Any examples of your music? As a fellow famitracker using teen, I'd like to see what you've come up with yo.

Same here, but I'm an old man ahah.
Your tune is very nice.
I'm catching this opportunity to introduce myself as well : hi, I'm a french guy who's currently trying to learn chiptune composition, and I use famitracker for the moment. I'm learning how to do something with LSDj, too.

In France there aren't many. Especially in my city which is more or less in the countryside.
But I just discovered the other day a guy from my city who astounded me live !

(Don't know if you guys can watch the video, but it's nowhere else. His project is Space Plumber btw)

Thank you very much ! This is really motivating !

Yes, everything was done in Famitracker, including the drums (combination of noise and triangle). I worked on the drums before doing any music, until I had a satisfying sound.

Yes, I didn't know this chip either. I guess I'll just work on stereo with some classic sequencer.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate !

I'll try it then. Indeed it can't hurt anything.

Hi everyone,

I'm fresh new, I'm french so I speak bad English, and I'm trying to make some 8-bit original compositions. I use mainly Famitracker.
Any feedback on composition itself is welcome, but more than that I have a rather specific question :

What do you think of mixing 8-bit music in space (pan) ? I was going to leave my stuff in mono like a purist would do (I can't say I am one), but mixing it with stereo could really get this more punchy...

Here's my sound : http://soundcloud.com/please-lose-battle

These two tracks are still a work in progress, but I'd like to make my mind about the question above before talking about making an EP. If anyone can help...

Thanks !

Matt
