Got it, cool. I'll take a crack at it. Hmm at some points there's a lot of polyphony (4 voices) so I'll have to get creative. That or throw in FM tongue Watch this space.

Hi all wanted to announce starting my official music video channel. Loads of trippy, glitchy vids for my equally dark and gloomy music. LOADS of fast pattern based flashing - DO NOT WATCH if you have epilepsy! Heavy colour saturated, flashy circuit bent junk, very unique.

Sub as I am in process of releasing more.

Oh yes, gloomy chip. Instant like!

Send me raw MIDI files and I could run it though real hardware chip synths for you, adding to the dirt. Seriously let me know... this deserves it.

Downloading now, my favourite so far has to be from ZappaFan52. Musically complicated and not the 'usual' lsdj stuff.

Terrible sorry about the confusion, I resent it using a different file service. Also including my artist name might help too tongue

Alright thanks for clarifying. Indeed in my case it was a totally unreleased track.

w00t got quoted not one but three (3) times! And 'dark' is my thing. Man you've heard nothing yet.

Good question, though I'm a bit old school. Anything I submit as a exclusive is just that, either old b-sides or new works. If I release the recording myself in any way shape or form (self publishing) then technically it's no longer an exclusive.

Though that's an anachronism of the sort of past times of publishing and all that rubbish probably has little weight these days - but I still stay true to it. Technically does not say has to be 'exclusive' though I assume as it's going to be published by kitten paw I assume so. But hey I could be full of $h!t.

Submission sent!

I use old CAT5 cable. Most of the older stuff practically given away, is fine enough for most rework (28AWG), comes in stranded or solid and is colour coded to boot. For high pin out stuff yes recycled ribbon cables work well.

Coolio. yep it's pretty rad if I do say do myself - chiptune yet not exactly. There's a lot going on, loads of hardware used as well, not at all your typical lsdj thing. Looks like I'll never use that company for disc duplication again, I outsourced to them mostly for their disc printing and professional offset printing. That's not inkjet. I trusted their QA, guess I'll have to not have it wrapped so I can control QA.

That was (so far) my only physical release. I wanted to clear out my remaining 'stock' hence the sale.

Open ended question: LP or CD?

I do toss around the idea to release a (VERY) limited run of my catalogue on LP though the cost is considerably more.

-2012 "Never obsolete" Intricate, lively techno-ish chip tunes.
-2013 "Professed and real intention" Dark, heavy distortion, goes from slow and moody chip to wall of distortion industrial. 424 was smashed hard.
-2014 "4" Gloomy, straight forward almost traditional chip tunes. Much less distorted cassette.

Well that's a bit harsh.

Though to be perfectly honest I purchased two 6581s off fleabay for my sammichsid. No issues.

Hmm beautiful.. guess I should have opened the shrink wrap to check. Guess the 'pro' discs are using cheapo trays sad At least they're replaceable and the disc is intact. When I used to buy loads of CDs every month one or two out of ten would have cracked cases / tabs / trays.

Ouch sorry man, I didn't open any of the discs (sealed) so I cannot be sure it was like that to begin with or damaged in transit. I regularly receive CDs in bubble mailers without issue. So either they were made with inferior trays or just got smashed. Though yes the black plastic tray is easily replaced. Thing is with items <100g its not that expensive to post, once you start doing the cardboard thing it gets much more expensive like 4-8$ just to CA/US

Anyway thanks for the comments as I don't get feedback really. Yes physical chiptune releases are very niche, so not only are actual sales of chip music rare but more so the physical releases.

Man I feel bad, perhaps I can give a freebie of my other releases or something?

Yes from mtl. I know there are some chip peeps around but I'm not aware of proper shows, perhaps some really underground one off, paper advert. Could be wrong but I don't really see much. If anything my stuff is way weirder than the 'usual' lsdj stuff so I guess that limits things...

4 gone, 5 remain.

Response has been great, no thanks to the chip community. Better them be off than collecting dust.

pretty dope album

Thanks. This album was my first foray into chiptunes. Prior I had amassed a museum of analogue synths and drums machines which frankly didn't truly inspire me. Which all changed once I got hold of a MIDINES which literally was a dream come true, now all chip. I guess I'm a person of extremes?

Almost makes me want to do a run of lathe cuts of "Professed and real intention"... hmm..

One gone, 9 remain.

Dunno I always had very good luck with so-called class compliant Firewire interfaces, no drivers nothing just literally plug and play.

All my work is tracked at 96k/24 no issues, extremely low latency. Echo AudioFire12, Apogee Rosetta 800 & now RME UCX. Tho I use Mac & Logic so I can't speak for windows peeps.
