If you read the post and watch the video, you will note that the Aquamarine colored panels are LED, and are merely color matched to the old EL style panels. They are not actually EL, I don't think...
Ah.. you're right, I'm dumb.
Cool plan, I was just wondering how you're going to address the humming issue most EL panels get?
Try german ebay, search for Gameboy blau
Nope. The EMS cart is bigger on a few points. It can be done, but you end up sanding away a lot of the inside on various sides. It's quite some work.
Does this count?
behringers are cheap, but do the trick, you can get something like a 802 for 30 bucks second hand sometimes. and that's basically all you need
for two gameboys you can just use a link cable.
for up to four, you can get a four score and slightly alter it.
arduinoboy is useful for syncing with midi, but if it's just gameboys, don't bother.
also: if you just started to grasp the basics of lsdj, work on that. don't start with multiple lsdj's if you can barely use one

I am struggling with only 4 channels for the piece I'm trying to replicate has many layers. I figured I would use the noise channel and make some percussion sounds in that, thinking that this would free up the 2 columns in the wave channel for me to use them for more melodies but I was wrong- unless you have a kit instrument selected, you only have 1 column in the wave channel. Is there any way around this, like, can you download kit instruments that have note sounds instead of drum sounds? Also, if I change the instrument in the noise channel to be a kit instrument, sometimes it gives me 2 columns, sometimes it only gives me 1, I am a bit confused.
In fact I am struggling to tell the difference between the pu channels and the wave channel full stop, what are they MEANT to be for, respectively i.e what is the best use for them? I tried making a nice sounding instrument in the wave channel but it seems weird and unpredictable unlike the pulse channel, and how come you can set pulse channel instruments to wave kit or noise, and wave channel instruments to pulse kit or noise etc... In what scenario would you want to be using a pulse instrument in a noise channel or a kit instrument in the pulse channel etc or are you just not supposed to at all? Sorry I found it a bit hard to explain my query here, i guess someone with a lot of experience might know the specific situations where this function would be useful.
best tip i can give you is try to find sav's of other peoples songs. see how they build up sounds.
try: http://lsdsng.com/
watch tutorials.
stuff like that.
You've got 4 channels: deal with it

O M G!
It's one of the most sold game consoles in the world in a really crap condition!
Must be worth at least 13,000

What if it's a remix of an LSDJ song tho
Only if you have the original sav file.
Spliting hairs here...
I'd say a remix uses elements of the original song.
A cover doesn't
So basically, all songs made on a gameboy of which the original wasn't made on a gameboy are covers...
dunno if that makes sense tho
This is interesting...
Just saying.
I've been thinking all day on how to make a compo on this but i just don't know man...
