Dayum... I've got a green one coming my way, but the blue one looks so pretty as well.

maybe you can check out this forum:
http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/board,8.0.html

might have all the answers you are looking for.

Sounds like a short somewhere... Is it a homemade cable?
Does it work if you connect the cable first and then turn on the gameboy?

Doesn't Pocket Voice use the 5th sound channel? Also worth checking out for the hardware possibilities.

Did some googling, came up with this:

Pocket Voice is a 4 MBit cartridge with a speaker added. It works only with the special Pocket Voice Rom.You can record and play sounds with it. You can flash the Pocket Voice only with GBX and special Pocket Voice utilities. 2 MBit can be used for game programming.

since it's compatible with the cgb, it can't use the fifth channel. that one was only in the original DMG (i think they even removed it from the pocket.. but don't know for sure)

It has it's own speaker added, and probably uses the gameboy to trigger the sounds.
which seems funny, but not really usefull.

Still interesting tho.

Where might you be located at?
for shipping etc..

I might be interested in that EMS cart..
Is LSDJ still flashed on?

Cool!
That has a lot of potential. Would be awesome to make it play loops in sync with midi.

You could use, for example, a gameboy with an arduinoboy and get the SID-player to play loops of bass lines or melodies in time...

If it would have an mpc style button top for selecting loops, it would be the perfect live machine big_smile

C-trix sollution is a cool one. pretty beta, but it works.
I did make a song once in Paul Slocums sequencer kit. It's a lot of fun, but not really user friendly. Most of the time you spend on making small changes, compile it, have a listen, edit other small things, compile again, and see if it changed big_smile

Ctrix tracker is basically a skin around Paul's sequencer kit to make it all a bit more workable.

Well, I got it working without the need of half an extra gameboy. which was easier then expected. So now I can make the next step and build a cartridge around it big_smile
I can probably cut of half of the pcb on the bottom, since i don't need buttons.

Just a little update I guess smile
the super screenboy is coming!

cool. There's even a song of mine in there.

here's my cart colour chart list thingy again

And indeed, the green Pokemon came in a grey cart. Except for some bootlegs.

Green would be the best. But it is hard to see working version that is not broken.

There never really was an official green cartridge.
At least not for DMG games...

There where some bootleg games with a green shell, but they are hard to find.
