Double sided tape, trimmed-to-fit. Considering you'll probably replace the cover again in the future, do not use anything permanent.

I would be more interested in a vinyl as opposed to cassette.

So cool! Trying to convince the fiancee again.

Not obsolete, but simply less necessary. Too many musicians do not play traditional Instruments any more, and since they use their PC, USB is the go to connection.I can't play anything, but I insist that everything have a 5 pin DIN.

I have the rockbank keyboard, the miracle piano teaching system and a Casio DH-100. All have midi in and or out via a 5-pin DIN.

Mine literally "just" reached the limit again. This is a recurring issue for many people.

Yes and maybe. If you got a Plastic enclosed PROM, it could be filed down to size. If you use a UV EPROM, then it really couldn't be.
If Kitsch would release the other carts I designed for him, that would be certain to fit in a shell and more easy to make, but he quit talking to me and I don't know why. sad

not at all wink  we're good

i've more or less dropped off the chip social planet for the moment, due to life stuff.  and some traveling/moving

also my PM box here is completely clogged up, and is essentially a pointless feature of this site for me.  if anyone is wondering why i haven't replied.  i don't even get new messages anymore, the ones in my box are ones I need to keep.

my bad.  its just life though.  its a real killer atm

Good to hear. I'll email you sometime and catch up. Nothing important, just catching up. tongue

I'm just getting started with MIDI so I might got things wrong, but I'm having hard times to find a MIDI keyboard with 5-pins. Maybe real expensive ones have it tho...

A hard time? They nearly all do aside from newer ones. Grab something used at a thrift shop. If you're just starting out, you don't need something new and huge. tongue
If anything, pick up one of these:

17 bucks. Can't go wrong. smile

Wondering if ASM might be a better option here since they've got shell production (presumably) up and running. Though I wouldn't be against using a donor cartridge. I would love a kit, one tiny pcb, one eprom, a label, and maybe a cart?

I asked about a year ago if he would sell shells and he turned me down.

Checked the ROM in uCon64.
0.25MB ROM
no RAM
CRC ok

Its all good for real hardware.

I visit 8bc every day for listening.

Still haven't had time to sit down with this myself, but I gotta thank you guys for introducing me to Dualport SRAM. I have another project and it may alone be my savior considering the limitations of 16MHz microcontrollers.

Dualport RAM does seem to be more expensive than I had hoped, but I have few other options. I will try to get back onto this project asap.
Cheers
