freaky guy. I have never seen him before but he looks familiar to me.
Now looking at wikipedia I think I have to watch some episodes.
I´m from germany and it says there is one movie released in german language.
You made me curious about this.
edit: erie indiana comes to my mind when I see this pic. and that makes me think of the adventures of pete and pete.
Btw, I was also just looking at your shop and I am looking for a cheap DIY kit for an arduinoboy.
There was this shop which also had Nex mods. They sold them but I can´t find them, was that djtransformer?
Is getting these parts so ridiculously easy that they won´t be offered anymore?
Or is the teensyboy the thing to go for now?
Will you be selling these?

Thanks Apeshit I havent considered chipping with a GBA because of the button issue.
And Kitsch, it´s nice to see your stocklist increase, but your avatar gives me the creeps.

What about this site?
wudaren.taobao.com
As I read he is called Zerey Zhang and is offering full display replacement kits for the first GBA.
And it seems to be a bargain.
There is also a ribbon cable to connect an AGS-101 screen with BACKLIGHT to the old GBA.
If only the select button wasnt that misplaced...
I found it hard to read the page, you may also I guess, so here his mail:

Topic: Need attention? Do a cover song of this guy´s song (0 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Hi everyone I have a maybe weird suggestion for you.
There´s this guy in Germany called Gronkh (some german people might now him).
He is one of Germany´s most famous Youtubers, at least one of the "Let´s Players".
On his channel he´s playing Minecraft on more than a thousand videos in a row.
Over the years he got mor and more attention and I watched every Minecraft video he made.
There is always music running in the background and because he is into chipmusic there is a lot playing.
He and another Youtuber called Sarazar had a hangar full of 4000 people at the gamescom which was streamed on myvideo.
Not to forget they have a weekly stream fridays at myvideo too.
They made a rather fun parodying song called "Elektrotitte" which they debuted at the Gamescom and got up the ladder at amazon and I guess I-tunes, too.
Now you guess what my suggestion may be.
First my idea was to do a cover myself just for he´s a great guy as a thank you.
But that job is too heavy for me. I´m not that into LSDJ as I don´t really know how to do those breaky woobly stuff (dubstep everywhere) at the end of the song, though it is not one of the most complex songs (no offend).
Maybe if one of you has an interest in doing a cover I bet he would really apprecdiate it and you´ll get some "airtime"
on his channel with at the moment 2.058.006 subscribers.
oh and here´s the link to the video:

Ok, that´s a bit intimedating.
How long were you using/learning LSDJ before you did your first song or were you familiar with trackers before?
2nd song, just great I think.
Is it all made with one GameBoy not overclocked?
I guess yes because the title says "LSDJ song", right?
I have no respect for guys like David Guetta but what you folks can do on a GameBoy is fascinating to me.

Nevertheless thanks for the offer Alpine.
e-bay, I´m bidding right know but even broken GBCs get more money than the parts on their page cost.
But meanwhile I got a delivery fail mail back when I asked about delivery costs, which gives me a bad feeling.
But I will have a look at their ebay shop, if I find it.
after a little googling I found this german thread which tells something about the quality of their products:

all of the chippers who matter are scandinavian though
that´s maybe where my feeling came from ;-)
But frankly I don´t really know where they all come from.
I was digging 8bitcollective for artists, then.
Had other things to do and suddenly there were these much talked about problems and the site was gone.
Too bad. Then I found you people here. Which in the end is a great substitute you created.
Thanks for that.

Hi, I was searching for gbc button pads and the only site selling these I found was nintendorepairhut.
I haven´t read someone mentioning them and the site looks a bit abandoned so I´m asking has anyone in here bought things there.
The prices seem very low to me, for example the replacement cases, but colours are limited.
No neon...

...this is a personal invitation for you to make accounts, dont be strangers.
Ok then, you got me. I feel guilty now.
Here´s me, hi.
+1 member by this thread
To tell why I haven´t registered before,
I am not one of those persons asking for stuff you can find easily in the web.
And almost all my questions regarding chipping someone asked and got answered in here or someone referred to corresponding pages.
I may not be very helpful for this site but if I do you a favor with registering, I´m in.
It was and is nice to follow the work of people like nitro2k01 and trash80.
And yeah, I should have given some respect to you guys. I feel guilty again.
Your (nitro2k01), what was it, "one rom per week" campaign was great, I spend nights reading and it´ll take years understanding.
I really enjoy making lovely little tunes in LSDJ and let them play in circle on my hyperboy but I guess there´s no need for uploading them. I´m too far away from these wizzards with their evil power in here(, yet??!?!).
I have my flash cartridge for about a year and not modded anything yet.
But I have all parts for doing the front light mod on my CGB. I wanna put it in the right way but I´m afraid to cut the plastic lense, it might get broken. A membrane of the buttons got destroyed by too much presseure while cleaning it, so I lost interest cause I had no spare one. Yesterday I ordered a stock pink gameBoy colour so I might get to business and come with enoying questions
Yeah, that was my 2 cents.
btw (totally off topic): is my feeling wrong or are much of the chippers in here scandinavian? I miss satanic surfers
