Tasty update! I'm excited to see pattern loop mode added.

Not all sound toys have a 'pitch resistor'. Sad but true.

The Holtek HT3494 chip in the photo is the 'brain' of that keyboard. I found the datasheet here: http://www.datasheetspdf.com/pdf/760735/Holtek/HT3494/1 It uses a crystal oscillator (or what looks like a ceramic resonator, marked X1 in the photo) as its clock. You may have luck effecting the pitch by interfering with X1 or the pins it is connected to.

Keep modding but! Break some shit! Circuit bending is about exploration as much as anything.

Everything about this release is great. I love the emoji pattern silkscreen on the PCB.

Looking good catskull! The LED matrix on the cart is kind of an incredible touch.

I'd been hoping for a release after the improv vizz you posted recently. Thanks for delivering.

I downloaded the .INO file, installed the Arduino IDE 1.8.2 and the teensyduino add on.

Great!

in the Arduino app I have teensy 2.0 chosen for the board type, I don't know what to pick for usb type, I chose midi.

Correct! (assuming you're using a Teensy 2.0 board, which I'm sure you are! MIDI is correct.)

which programmer do I pick?

You don't need to! These options are for flashing chips with an external programmer and don't apply to the Teensy.

oscillating wrote:

and where do I put the .INO file, run once or run repeatedly?

Not sure what you mean by this! You don't need to 'put' the file anywhere, just open it in the Arduino IDE. Like File > Open.

Then, when I verify or upload the file, I get a lot of text in the bottom window saying crap about errors. "prg uchar kick[] does not name a type"..., and some..."was not declared in this scope."

This is the tricky part! Given little-scale's code is 4 years old it probably needs some tweaks to bring it up to date with the current Arduino and Teensyduino versions. I'll endeavour to check it out when I'm at home and post back if come up with something useful.

Nice build man. +1 for supporting Nostromo.

Nice one _NetNomad. I reckon I have bits for an EPROM cart at home so I should be able to give this a try.

+1 for SMSPower!

Oh hey, it's now v1.3.0-RC1. http://twitter.com/Spintr0nic/status/865909544500776960

Heaps good hey.

Keep making the tapes, guy.
