An0va, you're definitely right about being good at writing. I think my chops have really improved in the 6 song span of my writing with lsdj, but I still have so much to learn. I just don't want to do it alone hahaha.

Hey,

My name is Lucas and I'm realizing that I don't have many friends in the chiptune community. I was going to post this on Craigslist, (jk) but I'm wondering if there's anybody in Michigan that wants to colab/teach/hang/befriendswithaprettyalrightdude.

I know, I seem desperate, but my friends don't write with the chipys. So, let's be frienddddds.

If you want to hear what I've done you can check my soundcloud:

i'd just go with trial and error.. can help you develop your own personal style

You're right about it giving you a unique style because the commands you use aren't just copied from a tutorial. That's what I did with LSDJ, and it takes me so long to write song sometimes, but it really helps me learn the software. My first lsdj song was awful, and my newest one is pretty dope.

Just keep at it, man. You'll find the sweet spot if you persist.

So, i just released another LSDJ tune on my soundclound and in the music section here. However, this is the first track where I recorded each channel and mixed down. I don't have a lot of good audio gear, but it sounded decent on my t-amp w/sub setup and my headphones.
Let me know if you think there's a way to improve the mix. Thanks dudes!

please excuse the excessively long link...

I'll be driving 7 hours to see this. The line up already looks so sick!

I like using John GBC on android. It seems to have accurate wav reproduction. Plus, you can do save states. I find the touch controls a little cumbersome, but it has a feature to vibrate on button presses and an a+b button that makes deleting easier.

Edit: I'm using a galaxy note II

Thanks,  Bit Wish! Feels nice to know that I'm going somewhere with this. Maybe I should stop asking for CC like a newb.

Yo Imaginary, right now I'm working on a track that (I think) will be my best composition yet. It's a song that's been haunting me for almost 2 years. It's 200bpm with a 4/4 minor "verse" and a 3/4 major "chorus." Needless to say, I'm really pumped.

Wow. Great compositions! Perfume of Autumn is a killer jam. Really digging the complexity of Dignitary. Awesome work.

Done! This is such a great concept and a beautiful EP. I think we'd be failing as a community if we didn't support this endeavor.

Thank you, Monotron! I'm glad to hear you like it overall. I have a problem with writing songs like they would be in a game. Plus, I have a terrible attention
