So I signed up for the waiting list a while ago, and I just got an email saying it's my turn.  But it turns out I'm broke now.   I can pass, but I figured I'd try to pass it along to one of you guys if you wanted.  If you paypal me the money then I can buy it and submit your address for shipping.  Just an idea.

$214.71 with SIDS, 165.16 without.  Plus shipping to wherever you are.

Email me at owenmcgarry @ mac . com

And as you would be getting it straight from the guy, it would not be assembled yet or anything.

I'm trying to sell all but four of mine.  The black and white, the underclocked, and one that was my cousin's.  I need no more than that.

These are the only the assembled ones. I have about the same amount in the basement disassembled

Hello guys... this actually my GAME BOY collection big_smile.

Thanks!

That looks incredible

like the Justin Beiber song that was floating around the internet earlier?

A yellow DMG, with NES buttons, DMG d-pad, yellow backlight, 1/8th inch pro-sound.  Everything works, used it in two different shows this weekend.  But I got me a new one that I will be using from now on.  1/4 inch only in my setup.

There is one issue, that is that the furthest left line of pixels is dead.  It makes no difference in LSDJ.  And likely is easy to fix with the soldering iron method

Lets start at $70?  Make me an offer.  I may accept trades, however I need to downgrade my collection of crap so it's unlikely.  I'd take lasers > 100mw, SID chips, maybe a decent backlit pocket, with a bit of cash money.

EDIT:  I'll ship just about anywhere, if you pay

Send me an email @ owenmcgarry @ mac.com

that way you can advertise on the flier...

i.e.

Low-Gain with live nudes

hahaha. works every time! wink
Should help with the crowd turn out anyways.

Also add "free beer"

Active Knowledge and I have both had great success occasionally playing with experimental indie bands.  Play a show with a handful of them, they will bring in a bunch of people, and many of them will be interested in experimental ways of doing music (chiptunz!).  It's a good way to get word the scene out to a bunch of people.

Then set up some chip only shows and bring some of them in.

EDIT/EXAMPLE:  I played a single show, with some experimental indie band whom I'm friends with, on Martha's Vineyard in the beginning of the summer.  There was a huge turnout as it was their release party and also the venue's last show.  Then I was back on Martha's Vineyard the other day and like 3 or 4 people flipped out at how great the show was, and apparently a lot more people were "mind blown".

hey like I said, if we can arrange a Boston8Bit tour count me in.  I'd love an excuse to get out there

The fuses are fine, just tested them

I'll look into that fuse thing.  And I only got the DS a week and a half ago!  $20 at a flea market!

it didn't work, and I do think it's the top screen I'm afraid...

I opened it up.  And immediately noticed that one of the ribbon cable connectors had some corrosion.  It was green on two of the pins.  So I unplug it and clean everything down with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush.  But the ribbon cable doesn't look too great, it looks like there was a short circuit that burned the cable itself.

On the left side there, see.  I don't think that's normal....

That quick white flashing behavior is also what happens when one of the ribbon cables isn't connected properly, if i remember correctly. So its possible something got jostled out of place or ripped, or your top screen module died. (or bottom, possibly). Maybe open it up and check the ribbon cables?

I'll give this a try I suppose as I have no other options really.

And R4 is still legal in the states, where I am.  But I would have pinned it as probable cause if I had just updated firmware, or something, but I've been using this ROM (which could have been bugged, I suppose) and the current setup for about a week now.
