Important thing I need to debate. Live Mode. Is it a must? Is song mode Cheating?

This is a huge discussion that will be essential to know if you are wanting to do live shows. Originally brought up with LSDJ, but Other trackers have Livemode! so Herpa derpa..

Or if you're not mainly a chiptunes artist, would you do it the way you want to do it, because in music, that's how you do it, however you want to do it? Nitro Tracker has stressed to me, people don't like when people don't use Live mode at a chiptunes show. I want to know is it possible that I can be considered chiptunes without the need for livemode? Because I was the guy that created it, I created the way I wanted it to happen, and I did it in the way I wanted to do it, so live mode or not, I could have something to record without having to practice the song, so people could buy it. To me, Art has an art behind it, that everyone's way would be unique, if it were art, and if it weren't art, It would have to be the same way every time. Does my argument hold up at all? It's a really important question to debate, because I am an artist, not a true chip-artist. I am not a performer, I am a creator. do I seriously have to hire a team to remake what I already made in a livemode fashion? (or go in myself, with the way I originally made the songs, and make it Livemode-possible?)

In this debate we should address this a part at a time, so pick one you want to address, and reply with if your reply is an opinion, or if it is a standard for a chiptune standard.

Now I can't wait till I finally get a psp yikes

There is a time when you want to plug in a headphones jack to a gameboy that flips open and closed like a flip phone and fit in your pocket, but... There is no headphones jack. And if you have to charge it if you do get the silly little wires to make a headphones jack, You can't do a live show, no way no how no when no where just no. concert. So, is there a Multi-functional Splitter? Port extender that has a split to the headphones jack and the actual charging port? or do I have to design one myself? (With what no skills I have) or do I mod for a pro-sound auxiliary jack?

I'm getting it too, and it still didn't work on all instances. Changed the info in the track, changed the title of the file, added a tiny bit of silence, but still "Sorry, this file already exists in our system." and I only just made it today, so My guess, is the website's doing something. What's your guess?

I have 4 albums lined up. One's going to be Electronic instrumental blues. One's going to be full blown Funk/Jazz with bits of other genres mixed in. One is going to be chiptunes. And one is going to be colaberations with a bunch of people. It may be more than one album. but we're all doing covers of the same song, and the songs would be chosen (by me of course) and if they take off, that's cool. but if they don't. I'm going to make it a secret album noone knows about. but of course you all know now. but it depends if it takes off.

just a thought, you should aim higher than doing an open call.. research, find out whose stuff you like and go from there... most of the "stars" of this scene are just as accessible as the newest artists and would make for much better subjects
shitbird is damn good, and lives in st louis, for example.. (though letting geography limit you when megabus goes so many places for cheap isnt really the best idea either)

Many Chiptunes artists are in Missouri and California... new York's alittle Iffy... But still. Chiptunes run Rampid round Kansas City, bro. You should base it off that for a couple episodes. And if you're doing Me, Do Thunderfox, as Well, because he's further along than I am. But I do more types of music than he can. I do noise, as well.

I can do LSDJ. Just gotta convert my LSDJ emulation creations onto a cart my friend has and use it, And you can do him, too. he actually has some chiptunes dubstep he's making On Lsdj lol...Isn't that right ThunderFox? I can do it easy. I just do one by one. I also have invented my own style of "Sound Sheets" actually in the font that LSDJ uses, and it looks exactly the same, and it's pretty freakig sick. Labels by Phrases, Used in Chain Order... It takes a while to redo it all, but you got yourself Actual Written Midi Music You can actually use in any situation. It's sheet music for Chiptunes creaters. I'm a Videographer, also, so I can probably help in editing, and the whole shabang. I am apple certified for Final Cut Pro X. But I don't own a mac. So screw that. I can use vegas if you have it, or any video editing software. Multitalented. I Make all my art, I make all my ads, I make all my videos, besides one, and I also have more than 12 albums out.

I can do it. But I live in Missouri. I can Play live, but I would just play some stuff on itunes of my music, and I have tons of stuff I can play. I have more than 10 genres of music I do. So You Can do tons of it!

Here's the template. All I'm going to do is add onto it for LSDJ things you can do with it (and nitendo) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:L … PSP_Models

piggy? Kool. Been getting Alot of piggy. So piggy it is.

Alright. I'll check it out. But, gimme emulator name b-fore I do. Find out. I'll be ready once you do.

I don't use a PSP but here is some info that you've probably already heard before.

The best thing to run LSDJ on is a backlit pro-sound modded DMG with rechargeable AA batteries and an EMS 64m(or pretty much any other) flash cart. Period.

BGB is probably the best windows emulator to run LSDJ on. Wired XBOX360 controllers are highly recommended but pretty much any USB controller will be more comfortable than using a keyboard.

If your gonna use a bunch of tables and super fast/slow BPMs the GBcolor handles it better than the DMG.

Oh, and I would also highly recommend using an LSDJ+ graphics patch -

I wish I could help you more.

I Know I'm getting a Brick.(I call it brick) But I do have bunches of things I could search. I'm planning on getting all the way in this, cause It's a pretty kicka(word) genre of music, that could be molded at will. Anywho... So yea. That was sorta un-needed. But still I use an emulator I know is awesome that could hop platforms and still load the same saves and not corrupt. Also I use the corner... aszx as the buttons. It's actually easier, I think. Cause one hand controls the directional buttons and the other does the a b and start and select. Maybe I taught you somethin there... And It is cool, but I'm wanting to know if the psp could either produce (A) A better emulation of sound than a pc or (B) A crappier emulation of sound than a pc

Also, know of any purple backlit mods?

Still want the comparison, though. Which ones work, including pspgo, and all the versions... ones with analog sticks, ones without, and so on.
