This time I saw a digital piano on the sidewalk; a Casio Privia PX-110, on a stand with pedals.

Unfortunately, this one looks too big for me to keep around.

Anyone know what happened to Skinnyhead2000?

Or you wait for my hardware mod smile

Sounds interesting. Can't wait to hear more.

The only reason why I'd want to go with hardware sounds is when it comes to expansion audio, and, unless you have something like one of those TNS-HFwhateverthehells, you can only really emulate those chips.

Just buy music direct from artists ok. If the artist doesn't promo the release, its probably garbage.

There's one problem: the GBC soundtrack hasn't had any other releases.

I've done that a couple times, it's pretty easy. There's a tool somewhere that converts a gbs file to a rom

yes! you posted about it here: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/3074/gbs2gb/

there is a Shantae GBS rip here http://gbs.joshw.info/s/Shantae%20(GBC) … Capcom).7z

that seems to be verified accurate according to a post on this page https://www.hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php? … howpage=35

Oh, hey! Wow, look at that! Looks like half the work is done already. The music tracks even have a proper order! I never thought of putting those GBS roms on a DMG before (I only have a GBASP).

Edit: Or... Maybe there is no lossless source available?

In the case of Shantae (GBC): no, there isn't--unless someone's willing to download the GBS files (assuming they're accurate rips), put them on a flashcart, and record them off a GameBoy.

In the case of Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse: they're right here: https://virt.bandcamp.com/album/shantae … soundtrack https://virt.bandcamp.com/album/shantae … -curse-ost And it's name your price!

That wasn't my Tweet, and how does it not make sense? It was answered with a complete understanding of what was being asked.

I'm unfamiliar with Limited Run, do they properly license all the music and art they sell?

They are a publishing company, so I would assume so. They publish physical copies of PS Vita games that were only previously released digitally and publish physical albums to soundtracks that were also only released digitally.

They are also a part of Mighty Rabbit Studios, a game development company.

There's more info here: https://www.limitedrungames.com/pages/about-us

I don't know if anyone here has bought any soundtracks from Limited Run Games, but this sums up my viewpoint:

I got another keyboard!

This time it's an M-Audio: http://www.m-audio.com/products/view/keystation-61es

It's a controller keyboard (no onboard sounds), I know, I know--boring, but I'm hyped because it has velocity-sensitive keys. I noticed that a coworker left it outside his front porch, and I asked him about it. Turns out, the USB plug is broken, sad but I'm going to find out if the power outlet and MIDI Out still work. smile

Got lots of cleaning to do.

I went with a pair of LSR305's. After comparing it to the Rokit 5's, I found that the Rokits exaggerate the bass too much. The good thing is that all my music so far sounds like it was mixed well (I guess 'cause it's chip tongue).

I heard that speaker pads also make a difference, and I haven't bought those (yet). Thoughts?

By the way, I didn't purchase a warranty (don't have any pets or babies in the house), and I don't plan on moving these around, so is it really necessary?

I didn't understand that trash-chocolate quote until just now, after I've watched Big Clive's video.

Seeing as most of these are in the $100-200, I'll go ahead and look around for both a pair of monitors and headphones.

As for the subwoofer, how do you get a flat frequency? Move all the dials to the center? tongue I assume not all subwoofers are the same?

By the way, my room is about 12x20 feet, for whatever that's worth.

Hey, guys. I think I've got an idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hmSTVi_Uew

Anyone know anyone who owns an ice cream truck?

Thank you. I'll probably check out Guitar Center and see what they have there. I see they have the Pioneer headphones for $90 online.

Do you know what model of Shure headphones you had, warefaire?

By the way, I'm planning on doing more than chipmusic.

So far I've been relying on a pair of Logitech desktop speakers, but now I'd like to get into mixing/mastering. Would it be best if I invest in a good pair of headphones (I think someone recommended Sennheiser HD25 in another thread) or studio monitor speakers?

Are there any specific brands anyone can attest to? Thanks all!
