The irony.
All of the people saying they don't know who peeR is need to get Dances - http://pierre.slinckx.net/dances/

And what a worthy contribution. The lesson here kids is if you get good enough people will promote your work FOR you.

apparently you should just wait a few years and then give new members unhelpful comments and criticize them for asking innocent questions

This is true. On another note, I will say that networking and making friends is just as important as everyone says it is. I've made friends with quite a few chip musicians through 8bc, chipmusic.org and ds10forum.com and when they release new stuff, I usually will post about it on my blog and tweet about it, just as they would do for me. Having friends to help you promote your work makes it much easier than trying to do it all yourself.
You guys have it all wrong. Clearly it's all about Myspace Music and posting four different "MY FIRST LSDJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" posts. After you become super-retarded famous off of that, market yourself like Duane and Brando and continuously "leave the scene" and "return," despite never doing either. Hell, even start a smear campaign against yourself after fighting internally over a paypal dispute. Oh yeah, also, hate dolphins.
You got this.
I'd post my serious advice, but I've yet to test it on myself rather than others.
