If you want to give me your dingoo, I will set is up for you mate.

Bleo has a zip with all the junk to get piggy to auto boot somewhere but I can't find it off hand. I will ask him when I see him on line.

Edit, found it ! http://hexawe.net/mess/bleHOLe/PIGDOO.zip

nice! I'll give it ago myself, but if I can't do it, I'll hand it over to you mate.

Thanks again

man oh man, i've been clocking up the posts here. Pleased to report that I finally got it working thanks to the zip lazerbeat provided above.

but......

the headphone button is in the worst place possible!!! I was playing it on the AV jack, which is excellently placed, but when I use this, sound comes out of the lil dingoo's speakers.... is there anyway to disable this? There's no way I can imagine using  the dingoo for a long time if I have to use the headphone jack.

you can buy 100 yen headphones, cut the bottom off them and stick it in the jack this will disable the speaker while shoved in, or you can get a bendy adapter to use it,..

agree its in a weird place but i dont mind it at all haha

Nice!  Glad to hear my pack helped!  Yeah, the headphone jack... I always use a 90 degree jack with mine so it never bothers me.... I think the only workaround atm is what mk said.  sad

Reading the dingux blog, it looks like that there's a very good chance there will be an official native firmware update that slaps dingux on this thing... and possibly the old a320, too.

I can't wait. For some reason I have a strong desire to try as many dingoo devices as possible. I am fascinated by the process to running lgpt on each system and the different feel. Stupid I know. I just like comparing similar devices. That's why I drool over the sound comparisons for different chip machines.

Akira let us know how it is!!!!!

Also the psp dingoo is now at $80 or so.

I'm sticking with my PSP until a platform gets MIDI.  That's the bandwagon I'll hop on and stick with.  I have an actual question too.  Is there a way to smoothly downsample without copying a bunch of instruments?

Not yet, but it's "on the list."

I read the Gemeis are absolute shit.
The Caanoo is most recommended, and its USB host ability -might- allow MIDI interfaces to work with Ze Pig.
