I'm interested in trying out piggy tracker, but I can't for the life of me get it to run.
At the moment I'm trying to run it in OSX (10.6), but it won't execute.
I've tried both the stable and ghetto releases from http://littlegptracker.com/, and poked through the manual, but 10pm.org (which it lists as a download page) seems like it's totally unrelated to piggy tracker. I've also looked through the live journal community a bit and found nothing. If anyone could offer any explanation of what I'm doing wrong it'd be greatly appreciated.
According to this http://gorehole.org/lgptWiki/doku.php?i stallation you should be able to just extract and go. Are you using a stable build or ghetto?

I tried both. Do I need to run it through unix commands or something similar? I extracted the folder I downloaded to my applications folder and have been clicking on the icon. At the moment I just have the stable build on my computer
Edit: thanks herr_prof, I found a working version in that thread.
If anyone has trouble with it not running in OSX

There is a thread on the mailing list right now exploring OSX problems. You can follow the thread here:

there is a test version there to try as well.
Bunch of piggy tracker stuff I played at cheapbeats last year just popped up.. Very laid back
I'm running the pig on a GP2x and I'm having trouble figuring out midi out, I made the text file that the manual mentioned, and midi is set to GP2x serial, but I can't figure out how to get to the midi instrument screen.
any help would be appreciated
They are hard coded to the last 16 instruments. You can clone these if you need more.
it's also my experience that you have to go to the config screen and set midi out to none, and then back to serial in order for it to work...

Also seems to work if you save the project and reload it
piggy is still badass yo.
Just a little reminder.

i'd use piggytracker (i seriously want to say lgpt but that's almost suggestive) if i actually had a system to use it on where i couldn't just use something more effective instead (if there was a piggytracker port for iOS that'd be pretty nice).
Right!
What we need is to port a dpad-driven interface to a touchscreen
starpause had been talking bout that a few years ago.
