if your noise issues are coming from writing minimal tunes (like you said you were doing) and having breaks of silence where the hum is real loud  you could always cut out the parts where there is silence (aka noise) in your daw/recording program, i used to do this for vocals when i had a ghetto as fuck setup and even though it was time consuming it did work well...

The title track is super sick, rad arps, gnarly drums, And a soaring lead, I could give or take the other tunes (just my personal taste wink  )  but that title track is killer man.
