shitbird - Thanks,

Would you like me to send you some ROMs that are easy to hack with YY-CHR?

You did kind-of bomb my thread because this thread is all about hacking ROMs for musicians/bands and supporting this community by offering free graphic hacking services.

But I'm glad to see that this thread has inspired you, keep up the good work.

If you want to post more of your personal stuff please post it somewhere else.(I really don't want to be an asshole, I just want this thread to stay on topic, I'm actually a super nice person)

I don't feel like your trying to hijack my thread with a single post, but seriously try and support this community by making stuff for other people and don't just try to show-off.

I would love to see you grow as an artist, and I'll do whatever I can to help you out.

PM me if you need advice, ROMs, or anything, OK.

Thanks again,
-Max N.

Don't trade your cart, 64m carts rule!

And if you need any advice on the page1 LED mod don't hesitate to ask, I am the person who actually came up with that mod.

Have you tried using someone else's computer?

Try the library, your local school, best friend, family member, or a friend of a friend?

You just need to use a computer with an older version of windows.

You could send your cart to me and I'll send it back to you with the ROMs you want on it, all you need to do is pay for shipping. Then I'll send you the ripped SAV file attached to an email so you can back it up on your computer.

I love my EMS 64m carts, if you send it to me I could even add a page1 LED for free.

And I'm a trustworthy person, I won't steal your cart.

I thought this was very interesting and inspiring but my girlfriend hated it and thought it was annoying.

I just downloaded the midi file of Vivaldi's four seasons, opened fl studio, file>import>midi file> then replaced each channel with a chiptune style VSTi and VOILA. I now have an chiptune version of Vivaldi's four seasons!

I think it can be done with the right cable. I've never done it myself. Try a google search.

DMGs are the best. An SP is good for gaming but not so good for making music, in my opinion. DMGs are cheap and easy to find and EMS 64m carts are also relatively cheap. DMGs are also much "cooler" and they are fun to modify.

I also like to use the GB emulator BGB. BGB is awesome because the screen is easy to view(its your computer screen so it doesn't need a back light) and it has a bunch of features that a real gameboy doesn't like the option to change the frame rate(speed), save state, custom color palette schemes, virtual link, turn off/on each individual sound channel, and it can be controlled by USB controllers like an XBOX360 wired guitarhero controller. It has a bunch more features and if you have a laptop you can pretty-much take it anywhere.
