Nothing else compares to chipmusic.org other than playing in a band with like minded people.

But I probably feel that way because I'm hella into chipmusic.

I was thinking about putting some of my music in the constructive criticism or releases section and marking it "non-chipmusic" but I wasn't sure how well that would be recieved.

And does guitar/bass/piano/drum/vocals and other classical/traditional instrument stuff fall under the other hardware section?

Maybe the moderators should think about making a "non-chipmusic", " foxhole", "in your life/opinion" or "other interests" section or something? I don't want to bog down the site with a bunch of nonsense but my personal interests have always been more than just chipmusic.

I know for a fact that there are people besides myself on here that make music other than chipmusic and I do value the people on here's opinion more than those from most other forums.

I know this is chipmusic.org and was made to talk about chipmusic but I think talking about other types of music and stuff would be interesting and inspiring.

Liquid Rit dye is less messy. Breathing in the powder Rit dye by accident can stain your teeth and turn your snot funny colors and it also can stick to your sweat so if you use it I recomend wearing a mask and being extremely careful.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to all the songs on Nadir. Thank You 4mat!

Here is the recipe for a pink faux play it loud DMG -

Take 1 original grey DMG apart then thoroughly clean the outer shell with warm soapy water and rinse.(Be careful not to damage the lettering.)

Put on eye protection, latex/rubber gloves, and maybe some clothes that you don't care about accidentally destroying.(Rit dye and/or acetone and probably boiling water as well may cause skin irritation and blindness so please be carefull.)

Then in a disposable container mix 1 packet of pink Rit dye(I think the color you want is actually called Fuchsia but you can use whatever color you want in either powder or liquid form) with nearly boiling water and a dash of acetone then stir. (Add more dye and/or acetone for deeper color but I would not recomend adding more than 2 parts acetone to 3 parts water. Some people say to add 1 part acetone to 1 part water but I think that would eat away at the plastic a little too much. And acetone changes the boiling point of water so boil the water then wait a minute or so for it to cool before carefully adding the acetone.)

Submerge the the DMG shell in the dye solution for 10-15 minutes or until desired color is attained.(Do not overcook your DMG by submerging it too long 30-40 minutes max. And remember to mix the solution just before you submerge the DMG and every minute or so thereafter.)

Once you have removed your DMG shell from the solution rinse it thoroughly with cool water and air dry or gently wipe it down with paper towel.(You can discard the dye solution by carefully pouring it down your sink if you use a funnel to keep it from dying your sink then let hot water run for a few minutes. If you get the dye on anything unwanted wash immediately with hot water + soap and pray.)

Assemble your DMG with a Play it Loud dark grey screen and buttons then ENJOY!

I sometimes record practice stuff with a cheap pocket digital recording device or my phone just to have as a reference but when I record serious/substantial stuff I use a computer.

From my experience tape sucks and it became obsolete for a reason.

I like the MXR M-108 10 band eq pedal. They have one that has stereo outputs(mono input) that I havn't tried (MXR KFK-1) for not much more money than the M-108.

I have an old laptop that I only use for GB stuff and transfering roms/sav files to/from my EMS 64m carts.

I don't use a PSP but here is some info that you've probably already heard before.

The best thing to run LSDJ on is a backlit pro-sound modded DMG with rechargeable AA batteries and an EMS 64m(or pretty much any other) flash cart. Period.

BGB is probably the best windows emulator to run LSDJ on. Wired XBOX360 controllers are highly recommended but pretty much any USB controller will be more comfortable than using a keyboard.

If your gonna use a bunch of tables and super fast/slow BPMs the GBcolor handles it better than the DMG.

Oh, and I would also highly recommend using an LSDJ+ graphics patch -

I wish I could help you more.

Max: Did you enjoy reading Saskrotch's self interview?
SurfaceDragon: I'm pretty sure we both enjoyed reading it.

M: What did you enjoy most about it?
SD: What? Most? I enjoyed a few different things about it.

M: Explain?
SD: I think you already know.

M: Know what?
SD: What I liked about it.

M: You got me. Its like your in my head or something.
SD: I am in your head.(or something)

M: And did you like the nb2teaser?
SD: You mean the music? Its worth a listen but I think I like some of Saskrotch's other stuff more.

M: ^.=.^
SD: Did you just draw a dragon?

I found this with a google search -

http://projects.sappharad.com/tools/multipatch.html

I have no way to test it out but I hope it works for you.

And I'm working on a few new LSDJ+ patches right now.

Duck hunt, Hogan's alley, GUN-NAC, mario1and3, kirby blockball, tetris, marble madness, gran turismo2(and the other ones are also good but not as nostalgic as 2 for me), metal gear solid(all of them), I like some of the call of duty games like mw2+3 and black ops2, othello, dragon spirit the new legend, pac-man, balloon fight, I like asking taboo the sixth sense weird stuff, nes open tounament golf, zelda games, operation wolf, mechanized attack(and pretty much any other game that uses the nintendo zapper), kwerk, megalit, dig-gug, pretty much any kirby game,

and for GB music software I like NL1.5, nerdrix, ikari bopper, nanovoice, nanosynth, onputer battle version(its a custom version that I modified to improve the graphics and translate the notes to english), and last but not least LSDJ+

There are probably a bunch more but those are the ones that came to mind first.

I also like to modify the graphics of things sometimes -

GB battery. EMS carts use a lot of juice so I only use them when I have rechargeable AAs in my DMG(s).

I do have to warn you that adding leds will hurt your battery life in some way even if it seems small.

I don't know but I did a page1 led mod that you might want to check out -

Thanks,

I have already tried to make a wingdings font and failed. Maybe I'll try again.

And I noticed that that a font works better with 7x7pixels per letter, otherwise letters sometimes touch.
