If you're going into this for making music with LSDJ I highly recommend getting an older system, a GBC, pocket, or DMG will serve you better for this in the long run; I believe they're easier to mod, and have a purer sound.

Just one man's recommendation; rechargable AA's will give you great battery life on a DMG and the sound and headphone jacks on a DMG are convenient also. Aside from portability is there any other reason you'd prefer doing this on a GBA?

Why are you selling it? It looks really sweet, there's no chance I have that much money laying around, but I'm curious why you're parting with it.

Mmmmmm, Do want, nice setup.

If you're going to do any mods, you might as well do them on a decent GB, pick up a good quality DMG on ebay or something first, inverting/biverting is over-rated, especially since LSDJ can do it with software, I'm not sure what the capacitor does, but it's not necessary. The Battery warning is also unnecessary for normal use, batteries last something like 16 hours I've heard, so just get rechargeables and charge them before then.

The pro-sound is worth it, it doesn't matter which you do, they sound the same it's just a matter of which sort of output you want.

It's important to consider that Chipmusic is a whole new medium of sound for 99% of people; hearing a new genre is one thing; but to be introduced to a completely new mindset and headspace of music can be too much for some people. Mainstream music has broken the ground for us by having sharp pulse leads etc. but it's still a farcry from all out chip. Be patient with the public, it's not really their fault; if you're not getting enough interest, then perhaps mix in a little bit of more traditional electronica with your chipmusic. I know I'm going to get fragged for telling people to change their music, but expanding your repertoire is rarely a bad thing.

I'll admit I've been very frustrated with my EMS cart in the past; primarily because of driver issues that took me a while to figure out on Win7. I eventually figured out that by mashing F8 on startup you can boot without Driver signature enforcement and that solved the problem pretty much, no annoying RC watermark either.

As it is though I'm fairly happy with it. I back it up regularly and it's only corrupted my data on me once; not bad for close to two years. The two page system is nice, really the only thing I'd like is more save space for songs and the ability to have more than one save file so I could play Zelda when I'm not composing haha.

I'm hoping the Drag'n'derp cart can deliver on these areas and I'm looking forward to it. LittleFM looks good too!

If you don't like using the DSEO software (I know I don't) you can optionally mash F8 on your computer while it boots and when you get to the config screen choose "disable unsigned driver protection" or some-such. You have to do it every time you start up your computer, but I don't do cartridge dumps too often so it's worth it for me.

If it's an EMS 32 mb cart you actually don't need a flasher, just a USB-b cable. instructions are here: http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/usb-64m-smart-card

Whoah, that would do it yes, I swear I've tried doing that before, I'm hoping that's new in one of the later builds (which I just updated to) or I must have been on something all this time. Thanks. Can you play along with your song? I'm assuming yes, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

Have any of you tried one of these babies?

I'm thinking of ordering one.

Oh, and also, can you play along with a song you've written? (leaving the channel you're playing on clear of course)

Aaaaand, is it possible to use L commands to slide your notes somehow?

So if this gets set-up with Nitro's LittleFM, does that mean we can use pretty much the full 24 MB for save files? Or would it be limited to a standard LSDJ save file, because I keep running out of space.

He's charging for these? I hope he contacted the powers that be or he'll be getting sued before to long.
