New Ghostbusters II. Composer - Jun Ishikawa (kirby series).
^Love the triangle melody that kicks in. Also how's there's 2 bass lines for most of the song.

The NES itself can't support expansion audio without a modification. You need to reroute the audio by connecting two pins with a 47k resistor-
Watch from 2:30 - 3:00. That's pretty much all you need to see, the rest is extra because he puts in a couple other things that aren't required to simply get it working.

Ok, FDS I guess... can you honestly tell the difference between that and powerpak?
Oh yes, actually. The powerpak mapper, last I'm aware of, doesn't emulate the FDS audio very well. I was playing Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa and the notes were very clearly out of tune. Anyone else have the same issue?
No clue how spot-on other expansions are or aren't with the powerpak since I don't own any expansion carts to compare with, but the FDS audio was the most problematic from what I've heard. I'll have to double check all this though, maybe I missed an update somewhere...

This looks rad! And $29 is not expensive at all. Heck just seeing all the work that went into making the Teletime carts, I'm majorly impressed with the price.

I love the FDS instrument editor! This is great.
Last time I tried FDS audio on my US NES (with a powerpak and the expansion mod), it wasn't emulated very well. It was pretty out of tune. Does anyone know if that's something that's been improved upon sometime in the last several months or so?

(I was going to figure out how to embed the youtube video for The Untouchables on the NES 'cause the soundtrack is wicked, but the gameplay video really wasn't doing it justice.)
The Untouchables - NES
Check out the .nsf, it's pretty good.
I like it! I was getting started on tagging an NSFE for it though, and realized there are some errors with the nsf. The triangle is messed up in several (or all?) tracks. Quickest comparison to make is track 5 in the nsf vs when you press start at the title menu. Or track 6 vs. how level 1 sounds in the rom-- it's much more staccato and percussive in-game. I'll mention this on nesdev and see if we can get a fix!

Geoff Follin, Wolverine-
Jeroen Tel, Robocop 3-
^The overall soundtrack is very minimal (mostly one-channel tracks?!), but the port of the title theme is great.

The Stylo music video is awesome. I saw CDK post it on facebook, otherwise, I might not have seen it!

lol sorry for the spamming, I promise this is all for right now.
I've been uploading a bunch of Follin stuff, it's my goal to make it so that every NES Follin track is immediately accessible on youtube. And we're almost there...!

Gremlins 2 - Another one of the crucial DPCM bass soundtracks from Sunsoft. (Gimmick, Hebereke, Batman RotJ, Journey to Silius, Super Spy Hunter, Pescatore... all so good!)

Great thread!
Yah. I'm a bit suspect due to the lack of Lagrange and the Silver Surfer at 27 thing
For the skeptics of the Shizz Top 30, there's a review of the list itself there that talks about the pros + cons of how the voting / consensus worked. It's not meant to be definitive in any way (not possible!), but hopefully a fairly well balanced list of classics with a respectable amount of surface digging in there too. Believe me, I wrote all the reviews and hosted the thing, and lots of my favorites didn't make it. But if you've got some time to kill, I encourage giving it a read, I'd like to think I provided some interesting information on some.
Here's some of my favorite stuff-
Overlord. Composed by Jeroen Tel- has one of the best NES title screen songs ever!
Pretty awesome game over theme too-
