A buddy of mine asked me if I'd be willing to try to make some music for an RPG he was working on, so I decided to make a few little demos for him. I liked the tunes so much I decided to make a little EP out of them. With the exception of the last track (made in LSDJ) I wrote them all while experimenting in SunVox. It's been up on Bandcamp for a while but I figured I'd post it here, get some feedback, whatnot. Hope you kids enjoy!

Awesome. Thanks!

Would you be able to see if there are any books on 6502 assembly and/or MLM carts?

So how rare are these CPU-01s and 02s? I just got one on accident the other day, and if they're super hard to get I'd feel a bit guilty modding it.

Ohhh, okay, I see. Yeah, my knowledge in basic electronics is still pretty lacking, so clearly I should be playing around with a soldering iron, lol. Guess I just mapped the pins out wrong or made some bad connections or something. Thanks guys!

All good things I've been thinking about off and on, thanks! I've already got an okay soldering station (it's variable temp, but just controlled with a dial going from 1-5) and some good screwdrivers. Any particular multimeters you might recommend, or any reason to stay away from the cheap ones?

So I've been working at converting a small half-bedroom in my apartment into my own little batcave where I can work on stuff, and I want to get into making and modding some hardware stuff, things ranging from assembling my own LSDJ keyboard to painting some consoles to creating PCBs for flash cartridges (no guarantees on that last one, my electronics knowledge is pretty basic right now). I'd like to get a bit of an idea as to what sort of tools I should start picking up, so what I'd like to know is what tools do you have on your bench and what do you use them for?

what kind of flash cart do you use? i'm having trouble getting the gameboy camera rom to work on my 64 ems cart.
I use one of the Bleepbloop USB carts. I know that the emulators I've tried using with the GB Camera ROM won't work, not sure if the problem's related though. I've never used the EMS carts so I really couldn't say.

Hey, sorry to bump this but I couldn't find the info anywhere else. Because the keyboard requires 5v to power it, it is going to require external power if connected to a Pocket or Color, right?

If that fails, just crack open a beer and watch Blade Runner or Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Best advice ever.

Hey everybody. Figured I'd introduce myself as opposed to being a total lurker. My name's Chris, I've into chiptunes for a few years now and decided to start taking a stab at it. I'm definitely in the novice category when it comes to composing so I'm mainly here to learn and get feedback on whatever I manage to get LSDJ to spit out of my Game Boy, plus I'm also trying to get into Game Boy modding, and coding in assembly. And just about anything else I can learn that sounds cool.
Oh, and uh, I feel like I should apologize too, I kinda jumped into the pixelart thread a while back with some stuff that wasn't really pixel art, still feel a bit bad about that. Sorry 'bout that.
But yeah, glad to be here, hope to learn some good stuff and hopefully give something back to the community at some point here.
