A Puzzling Enigma is an 8-bit ambient EP, a soundtrack to a video game that never was, if you will.

Also look out for a single and another EP from Subterrestrial, later this month!

This thread is a goldmine! Thanks guys. I've only ever done MIDI sequencing on 68k Macs, there's tons of stuff here I've never seen or used.

At the little ceasers down the street from my house they have a pizza, breadsticks and drink for 8.99. I don't have 8.99 to spend on pizza, but I must have the pizza.
PM me within the next 30 mins and I'll give you information to buy me the pizza meal.
If you do so I will ship you 2 Grey DMGs that work perfectly and a copy of super Mario land.
No bull shit I just want the pizza.
Hope I get a taker.
Thanks for looking.

Extra Info: no I don't have 9$

LOL! Sorry Saskrotch. I usually try to help fellow Mac users if I can but, I'm not a VOPM user.

If you're doing a small run, an0va's suggestion of lathe cut is definitely the way to go.

herr_prof is right. If you want that specific sound you might be better off with a multi-sample pack, some of which are free, namely Vox Humana and strings.

It's nice to see that even though 8bitcollective is gone, it's spirit seems to be experiencing a revival here at Chip Music.

iswudt . . . but if anyone really needs the hiccups gone here is what you do. take a deep breath, i mean a deep ass breath were you continue to pack it in in small gulps so you cant fit anymore air in your lungs . then hold that for as long as possible. if you didnt wuss out and release too soon i promise your hiccups will be gone every time.
oh and sorry i didnt have anything funny to contribute here.

I don't have anything funny to contribute either, unfortunately but I basically do something similar for hiccups; I breathe out all of the air in my lungs and completely compress my diaphram until the hiccups stop (or I need to take a breath). Seems to work for me at least.

Well.....since there's no tracklist, how do we know if our music is even on it?

EDIT: Knowing how hipsters are, how do we know if there's even music on it at all? From the description it looks more like it's supposed to be a piece of jewelry.

I don't think there's anything wrong with mixing chip and non-chip bass music in the same set. If you like the style, you're going to be listening to both anyway, aren't you? And there are plenty of bass/garage producers who use both styles simultaneously, i.e.-Ikonika.

I knew even before I opened this thread that having already reached 14 pages, it must be another one of our "new friends" trolling. Probably the same person as all the others. Why do you guys even bother feeding the trolls?

They're great fun, even unbent. They've even been used by some "big name" people like Autechre.

The Griffin iMic has served my Dell Inspiron very, very well. Used it for years with no noise/issues whatsoever.

Then again I'm not known for making the cleanest of music.

$25-$27

I've also been using this (albeit an older one that looks different but functions the same) with a high degree of success for years. It's USB, not USB 2.0 or Firewire and unless you're running a Pro studio it doesn't matter.
