Oh shit, I'm in the mood now. Those are all classics. "A room, broom, guy and a mirror" god yes. Ok, I really think I need to do this mix tonight. Time to dust off that time coded vinyl and plug in my decks. W0o0o00. I reckon I'll have enough for a half hour of power.
Looking forward, man. I should do a mix myself, for TCTD

I can only assume Zombipnok = Dr Von Pnok. In which case you'll be pleased to know the you still hold the title for the best chip DnB tune in my collection. Black Bloc is a serious banger.
That that track is cool, but I still prefer his classic, "La Robotique c'est fantastique".
Two other tunes in the top of my chip DNB list: "Truth" and "Clark. O" from Goto80. Probably the first two chipmusic dnb tunes I got glued to and they got stuck at the top of the list.
Bit Shifter's "Rough Weather" and Lo-Bat's superclassic "A room, broom, guy and a mirror" finish the top 5 for me. But don't ask me in which order, they all win
edit: FUCK, listening "A room, broom, guy and a mirror" after a while. How old is this fucking track? None of us is worthy. SO AWESOME.

Re: Chiptune Dubstep (129 replies, posted in General Discussion)
The quality gulf between good dubstep and bad dubstep is astonishing.
This is the truth.
Sorry, I know that among all shit you can find a pin of glory, however this is not worthy.
The same happened with drum & bass to the point I decided to stop spinning the genre because the ammount of weekly (then monthly, then bimonthly, then...) good tunes I'd found was decreasing very fast.
Dubstep suffered the same process as drum & bass, only that drum & bass had like 10 years of lifespan whereas dubstep has declined to the same point in like 4 years.

The whole genre has come down to shit.
Anyway, I heard Cheapshot in Japan pulling some fucking nice dubstep beats. And I do mean really fucking nice and thick.

Re: OctaMED? (14 replies, posted in Commodore Computers)
Hi Trash,
well, I just thought the last OctaMED for A500 was 4.00.
You are confusing OctaMED with OctaMED Sound Studio. They are two different programs.
OctaMED's latest version is indeed 4.o, then teh evolution, OctaMED Sound Studio had many others. It's quite a different program.
Akira: OK then, let's go in this direction, but clearily it's a path of satan. I try to load Workbench 3.1 into emulator (A1200, kick 3.1). It stops with AmigaDOS displayed window and "1>" with cursor.
You have a bad Workbench image.
Send me an email and I'll sort you out
Then it's dead.
Through these 15 years I forgot how user-unfriendly Amigas are. Grrr.
Hehehe.
At the 1.> prompt you can try to type "loadwb", see what it does. Then insert the OctamedSS disk and boot the program.

Re: OctaMED? (14 replies, posted in Commodore Computers)
OK, so it will not work on my 500+ but should work on emulator, I suspect?
And there I can see the same requester (with a kickstar 3.1).
Ah well. I was only curious. Don't bother.
Thx.
You also need Workbench 3.0+, ASL is an external library, it comes with the OS, not in Intuition.
If you upgrade you A500+ you can use it
Tim is right, you can use any otehr Octamed, just not SOund Studio.

Re: OctaMED? (14 replies, posted in Commodore Computers)
Ah, you have a problem of kickstarts.
You must have Kickstart 3.0 or above where ASL Library V38 comes, if I am not wrong. What system are you trying to run this on?

I loved CP/M, I remember booting it frequently just to get that terminal/DOS feeling
Does the C64 run CP/M? That's right.
Bot natively, but it can:
