Interest expressed on FB-01.

If it doesn't sell in a week, by all means take it, Domu. I don't give an ass about what you do with it as long as I get the money for it back.

Price is negotiable too. I understand this has no power supply so you can't power it up right away, but it's an ideal machine to "complete" or even, although I don't condone this, to take the 8580 out of it to build your own MIDIbox, SammichSID, HardSID or other projects.

I've got this C64-C up for sale, which is boxed but comes as console-only. It does not include a power supply or any video or serial cables.
The machine is fully working, tested it all and has an 8580 SID chip, ideal for MSSIAH.
The case is slightly yellowed and the keys more so, but you can change that with the peroxide treatment you can find on the internet. I don't do it because I'm lazy tongue

I can provide reset button, A/V ports (in your choice of plugs), noise cancelling and other modifications for an extra fee if you so desire.

The price for the unit as is without mods, is 20 GBP (OBO) plus shipping. Shipping will be about 9 pounds inside the UK and about 20 in Europe. shipping anywhere else would be prohibitive.

Payment is to be done by Paypal, fee is on you or send as "gift".

Write to me at ******** if you are interesed, I check these forums seldom and will miss any private messages.

Maybe your firmware is different.

Try this:
OPEN 15,CD,15,"U0>"+CHR$(ND):CLOSE15 (where CD = current device number and ND = new device number, 08 in your case). To make it permanent (as in "survives a power-cycle"), send the command "XW"

It's basically the same but it opens 15 instead of 1, which does seem odd on the first example but SHOULDN'T give a syntax error.

As i said, read the docs: http://www.c64-wiki.com/index.php/%C2%B5IEC

Read your device's docs. You can change it by means of a BASIC command:

At least for SD2IEC, it's:
OPEN1,current address,15,"U0>"+CHR$(new address):CLOSE1 <- change sd2iec device number to new address
OPEN1,device address,15,"XW":close1 <- this will save settings to eeprom (required if you want to set new device address as default)

But disconnect the floppy drive, or you will have a conflict.
Also some software isn't compatible with these devices, you may no be able to save anyway if that is the case.

That was DJ Master Kohta.

After this, there won't be no Blip Festival, so you best tune in.

I now got a proper DJ tool and can make a decent set. Here's a new video of it:

PTPrefs is a very dodgy piece of software. I remember figuring out how to make it work but it just doesn't cut it. You can hack the main 'mask' of the program but after clicking buttons/opening&closing menus, etc, it will restore default bits of the mask.D

It seems the only way to do it right, is by re-compiling the software. Aside from graphical changes, there's some changed functionality in this too, but it's unfinished yet:

Well I can help you with that.
Don't make fun of how butchered the PCB is, I was experimenting for all our sakes (clicky for large image):

I feel like using these pads is much easier than getting the lines from the EXT2 port where the pads are closer together and soldering is a bitch (I know I tried). In any case all these components are small, so use thin solder, thin cables, patience and a steady pulse.

By the way, this is an AGB-100 motherboard. Perhaps the AGB-101 has a different layout. I don't know. But the pads are clearly marked as FL2 and FR2, so look for that (and the amp) on your circuit board.

You could at least get a breakout headphone plug with this method. The speaker will remain on when you plug this, though, although I was thinking that maybe if you connect the headphone detect pin of the EXT.2 port to either L or R on the minijack plug you add, it could work shorting it to ground when a headphone is connected (anyone with a lot more experience in electronics than me, can correct me because I probably am saying nonsense).

In any case, as I said, this is not a pro-sound mod, I couldn't skip the amp (if this skips it, I didn't notice it, didn't seem loud enough to me) and the volume pot is still connected to whatever plug you put there.

Waiting for NeX's pictures, to be honest. I spent all this afternoon fighting with this GBA SP.

Well all the pics are gone thanks to them being hosted at 8bitcollective.
Anybody saved a copy of the photos of the procedure to get a GBA SP prosounded?
I been fiddling around and I found points in the motherboard where I can get a decent output (they are kinda clearly labeled around the amp circuit), but it's still tied to the pot so I assume it's not prosounded. It doesn't sound very loud either.

I also have no clue how you could fit a 3.5" minijack in there, even less an arduino, so I'd love to see NEX's original pictures.

I'm sure we've started this thread already, but we should really put together a guide to finding and setting up computers for AdLib

How about this?

It comes from C64 tracker lore, and the name appeared because the first use was to rapidly change between waveforms. Now you can use it for more than just that, but the name stuck.
If you are changing the way the FM waveform is shaped, then the name is actually accurate wink
