That is not very good, you need a bulky computer to go along with your music computer.
The midibox SID is really small. And a lot more functional (I can make music with it via MIDI).

I also think of the possibilities. If someone hacked the hardsid.dll to communicate with a midibox, it wouldn't be too far of to think there's a possibility to create a VST interface for it. If that protocol talks directly to the hardware, it'd be really easy.

This release is awesome. Do get.

Damn right. If you give me the right, I'll challenge someone.

I challenge MYSELF to draw the advert of one of my favourite computers that I have at the studio. I will have to use no more than 32 colors.

HOW'S ThAT! Start the clock and someone update the thread title etc. tongue

Oh yeah dude,that was smokin'
Maybe I should do a metrodub release! Totally different style to what I am used to, it would be wink

He is a mixing/master GENIUS.
I prefer his Amiga tracks though.

I've spoken to cTrix already in the past. In fact, we been discussing about other things related to this. So we sorta have something going at the moment, but something more in the future with a project closely related to this.

I read the article, and I have to admit I don't understand the level, or intensity, of the backlash against it.

He did not just voice his opinion in an article, he got involved a lot more in micromusic and did a load of things.

It's not JUST the article. As I said, people just play it by ear without first hand knowledge (and I admit mine being second hand).

I'm not even taking a side on teh old debate now, I'm just pointing out that, for most, "it's not what you think".

Akira, you know the word picareta? I can't translate. It's pretty much like a leacher, but smart enough to pull off when things go downhill. That's what I think, and i think it genius.

We call it "pícaro" in spanish. Actually the "picardia porteña" is famous. Basically is the Buenos Aires resident's typical tendence to screw someone up and walk out of it unharmed, and actually be cheered by others for screwing someone over.

It's one of the traits of my society I despise the most. Sorry.

If this was 8bc, we'd already be ten pages deep into plans for some fourteen-year olds to hijack his funeral over that article in Weird magazine about the domoscene.

Why would this happen?
Most of the people in 8BC (and to a great extent, here) weren't around when the Malcolm McLaren controversy happened. They would just do it "playing it by ear", acting after something they heard or think they heard and not knowing what really transpired those days. And it was not regarding an article about the Demoscene!

With all due respect for the dead, he was surely involved in more than one shady situation and I base myself on stories told by people who -actually met and dealt with him- for questioning the "genius"label that Kurt has put on him at the beginning of the thread. That's all I'll say.

May he rest in peace.

godspeed to you, feilong big_smile
