if you cant find the nuts, go to radio shack and buy the 1/8" jacks, and just use the nuts on them. its something like $2.50 for 2 of them

the reason why there is a wire by the switch is because it is a good ground point. the picture with the IC is installed has the ground wired soldered to that point.

I have designed and created a half clock kit a few months ago, and for those of you who have bought my latest DMG's have them installed. I have had the kit reviewed by modders such as NeX, getlofi, and m30w, all saying great things about it. This kit was designed for the beginner to intermediate modder who wants a nice and easy mod to have on their gameboy.
The HLF_CLK kit comes with an spdt switch, new stock speed crystal, half speed crystal, pcb, and some wire.
the tutorial is posted here
I am asking $5 USD+S&H, but am willing to have discounts for those who want multiple kits.
You can now purchase them HERE
Thanks!

yea, really all you need to ground is the output pins. you could ground ( and bridge), all of the pins not in use smile

the whine could be caused by not grounding the extra pins not used on what i presume is a 74hc04 or something similar,
