Check the battery contacts?

That's the tracker I was talking about

I've got the Akai SynthStation 25 controller, which is pretty fun to use.
There's a chip tracker called Sinusoid which you can use with it, and that's pretty sweet! Never made a full song on it but it's fun to mess around with

There is already USB DS chargers out there though, for fairly cheap.
It'd be kinda cool on SP, but then again, I have a wall socket....

Did you put a resistor on the signal wire, though? That's highly recommended for protection...

I did it the same way you did dude, just soldered to the other side of the board smile

Finally added MIDI to my Monotribe today - I just soldered onto the pins of the serial connector (as opposed to the solder pads, making the whole thing easier), and threaded the wires through the little hole to attach a dongle or something to it. Lots of tape and a jack on the end, works fine! hahah

It's a little ghetto, but way way easier than drilling holes and dismantling the entire thing smile

Yeah, I saw that.. It was on eBay for 75$ I think? Way, waaayyy too much. Like, ridiculous price.

I think I'm gonna copy the thing with taking the wires out of the bottom though! I'm a bit sketchy with drilling a huge hole in the side of the metal case.

So rad. Gonna buy it as soon as I'm back on my computer. Gotta luv me some new Sievert!

Seems pretty cool, though yeah, it seems to have totally missed out any of the bigger people in the Euro scene.
Regardless, I have no doubt it'll be an awesome documentary to watch! Can't wait to see it!

Hopefully they don't delete it and have to re-edit it, as with Reformat The Planet, haha

Yeah, it was just the ribbon cable wasn't QUITE fully in. Like, a couple mm out? And yeah, that caused all the problems haha. So make sure you put it back together well!

Also worth mentioning that my DMG is prosounded pre-pot - where the volume control won't affect it - and so it's louder and punchier than DMGs prosounded from the pot or afterwards. This may have some bearing on whether or not it works for you, so experimentation is the key really.

Hope this helps! If needed I could take some video/photos of everything, but it's pretty simple smile

I set it at C7, and use a pulse instrument in the noise channel

Envelope 61
Wave 50%
Output R
Length 02
Sweep FF

Table ON

   VOL  TSP  CMD
0  71
1                   K00

I think I was using the output from my prosound (can't check quite now) to trigger it smile

Hope that helps you!

That's awesome!

Though if you had a Super Game Boy, and a way to get the output of your SNES into your laptop, you could have just actually filmed with it rather than stop motion smile
