Yep, that's the new version - I've been looking for the original. And I just won white stylophone on ebay. It was £2.26
So at this moment I don't need one.
Octothorpe: yes yes, the old one has resistor ladder keaboard which you can easily use as input for microcontrollers.
It looks nice and clean! I'm thinking about gething this RGBbb now. The backlight looks actually kinda cute with it's single LED
Hi!
I wanted to backup my Smartboy cart (for the first time actually) and the sav file is not working. I'm not familiar with this kind of stuff but I tried opening it first in notepad and the in some hex editor and the file is obviously corrupted (compared to working sav). I'd try to download the .sav again but it seems it is erased from the cart (actually the programmer seems to be kind of funky generally).
So what I'm left is not working .sav file (supposedly) with loads of my work which has not been backed up before.
I couldn't find any info on this topic and since I don't have any experience with this I'd like to ask you guys if there is any chance to save my songs or if I should just give up.
If anyone would like to take a peak at the file:

I always thought this would never heappen to me
Thank you guys for any kind of help!
edit: yes, it is LSDJ .sav
LOL

neat!
Great stuff again from you Kitch - you are so full of good ideas.
Not for me tho since I'm only using pockets.
edit: on the other hand - it makes me want to mod my clear boy with this and clear buttons and LEDs and stuff... hmmm
ViDAR wrote:Yea you gave me more motive to really make a PCB for this now. I looked into parts and something like this would be maybe $20.
Yes yes yes I wish this would happen

wow, that sound awesome!
But I'm affraid I have piano overlay coming my way... and it has it's sickers on
goonzy wrote:Not sure about it but I think that PRG on roms for 64 are very limited in size ((like on Atari 8 Bit) and must be 1 part. Not sure about the max size thoough but it could be something like 8 or 16K (I remember that the Cart games were much simpler than their Floppy versions ).
That's exactly the problem. Afaik most C64 game cartridges were 8 or 16K...
Nope, I'm going to burn my own EPROMS and solder them on custom cartridge PCBs.
Flopps wrote:If you need someone to burn some EPROM's and/or assemble a cart then send me a PM!
Thank you for your offer, I actually have already sorted out this but if I ever need some EPROM help again I'l contact you.
Hi!
I'm going to have some custom cartridges done for my recently purchased C64g and I wonder what music programs should I burn?
I am mainly looking for synth / keyboard / live tweaking kind of stuff since I won't have any possible way of midi sync. But every suggestion/experience is good. I am asking because emulation is not always good reference and i don't even know many music prgs for C64...
I am buying the piano overlay so probably something that would work with it.
Thanks!
edit: forgot to say: yes, I know about Cynthcart and I am gonna have it. I am just looking for some more.
edit2: Well, 4mat just pointed out on my similar thread on 8bc that only cartridge-ready programs could be written to cartridges. I haven't heard of any C64 cartridge-based music software other then cynthcart so I'm afraid this might be the end of discussion
Or am I wrong?
That's right, I'm looking for both Cynthcart and C64's musical piano overlay.
If you have any of these and wouldn't mind to sell - please shoot me an email:

Or post here.
Thanks!
Highly recomend this machine for modding or bending. You can get loads of fun and sounds out of this box...
Another use of table is to simulate delay effects with the R comand. For example RD0.
Connecting tables together is also useful - you put A02 at the end of A01 and vice versa. It gives you twice more table time which might be useful for example with the delay thing...
And many many more...
