I'm not really sure but I think LSDJ needs the midi start message to start playback. Which is not the case whan you have constant midi clock stream while loading new song.

edit: 2 of my friends and my brother are going to greenland this year (each on their own) and I'm soooooo envious! Hope to make this trip myself soon.

Someone needs to learn about user search and PMs

No problem, good luck with your build. I think using batteries is better option anyway.

According to the lsdj wiki http://littlesounddj.wikia.com/wiki/PC_ … _Interface the top middle pin is the serial in so I'm not sure if I can swap that pin.

Use pin 4 from this wiki page diagram for the swap. It's not needed.

You have to keep the ground. The top center pin (looking at GB connector) should be available for swap afaik.

Not sure about diecimila but i guess it should work. Wait for someone to confirm this.

Check comments under the item description for more info or contact Kitsch directly. Don't know about any tutorial.

If you know what should be on the screen cover you can do it yourself. Check this.

edit: If you want custom graphics designed I can do that. But you'd have to print it yourself. PM me if interested.

I bet it's way easier to recap another board

What's the difference between the green boxed one and the pink boxed one?

Pink box is the original design (first produced in 1968). Had some variations over time.
Green one is reissue deisgn from 2007 (i think). Has more features (3 sounds, audio input) and similar sound but completelly different circuity.

box and all looks the same as the one I got from like I think ThinkGeek for like $20

Yeah, it looks very similar but the circuit inside is totaly different.
The one you got is reissue of the original 1968 model (on the picture with box).

yea i totally gatta get the top 'older' one wink

It's not older, only a Pro version released approximately at the same time as the classic small one.

edit: And now you resurrected my suppressed desire to get the 350S yikes

Yea im VERY tempted to get one of the original ones, found one in pretty good condition on ebay for like $200

Whoa, are we talking about the same thing? You mean this one, right?

It's Stylophone 350s, pretty cool machine and I wish I had one. But I meant the original Stylophone in the same form like the one you posted. It has all analog inner circuity. And you can get it for cheap on ebay.

I think TraceKaiser might help you with that. Try to PM him.
This is his video if I remember correctly.

edit: I'd also suggest getting the original Stylophone for circuit bending (even though TraceKaiser is using the new one)

or this model didn't get that revision?

Not the case - this is the latest arduino pro mini revision (A6 and A7 are accessible)

edit: of course it might still have old bootloader but I doubt it
