And that is the point. Teensy 2.0 is also smaller then Arduino pro mini. And has mini usb socket which can be used not only for usb midi but also program updates / tweaking and charging bult in batteries
Optoisolator is on the MIDI-IN part of arduinoboy circuit, not MIDI-OUT.
You want your gameboy to be master or slave?

As Note! mentioned it should be also possible to use LSDJ's "nanoloop" sync mode which outputs pulse clock. Needs to be devided obviously. What's the ppqn for monotribe sync?
This way you'd only need gameboy and wouldn't lose stereo or noise channel...
little-scale did it again
^ which is not a problem when you do the midi-in mod..
According to some youtube videos you can get the VCO out of the mix by setting it's LFO the way it's not audiable anymore. Sadly you cannot use LFO to modulate VCF then.

Whoops, I stand corrected.
Ok, no more trolling. But it was kind of silly question.
Monotribe has no audio input so you cannot filter any other sounds. The main advantage is the possibility of keeping stuff in sync and/or external parameter control of (some) monotribe's knobs. And triggering it's notes / drums.
DogTag wrote:I'm prety interested in using a Monotribe with LSDJ too, but I don't really get the point. What can you exactly do with both connected?
You can make music with these.
Or you can make simple modification to your monotribe and sync or trigger with midi (if you have arduinoboy).
Could be that the variation in pitch on lower notes gives the resulting pitch go lower then C3 in the low peak of vibrato amplitude. LSDJ can't go lower then that which might cut these parts away. Only theory.
You need this and this. But it won't work with psp as far as I know.
Not very portable but you don't have to spend cash which is always fine. Enjoy that Roland!
I just checked sold 505s on uk ebay and the go for £40-60.
Do you want to midi sync the drum machine's own sequencer or trigger the sound with LSDJ midi-out mode?
I got my 505 on ebay for $20 something but I guess I found a good deal. You can mod with separate outputs, individual drum pitch control and volume control etc. It's fun.
QY series seems to be pretty cool and portable and has way more then only drum machine. Was thinking about getting QY20 or QY10 myself - these should be pretty cheap.
Zoom MRT-3 is very compact but I don't know much about the interface / sequencer or even the sounds.
Some button combos must be quite uncomfortable to perform with one hand..
I use LSDJ when I feel like it or when I need to. Since I use many other musical devices I use it often for sequencing only. And the only time when I'm free to do that is in the evening/night recently.
