There are some people here who are super in tune with copyright law, but I've never ever heard of an example of the media manufacturer's logo being an issue. Keep in mind that the purpose of blank media is to be recorded on for storage or distribution. Good on you to be concerned with the details though!

Re: How do I install 1/4" prosound mod? (13 replies, posted in Tutorials, Mods & How-To's)
A couple other hints:
There's a few different models of jack, some with and some without threads. The ones with threads are designed for guitars, but I think they work best because the threads hold the epoxy well, and they can actually grip to the case of the gameboy. They take more work though - you have to do some dremeling to get them in there.
This is the stereo verison of one I like: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Neu

They fit easier in the kitsch-model cases than in originals.
1/4" jacks CAN fit in either side of an original case, but they look a little scrappy on the speaker side of an original case because some of the body of the jack will be exposed. I built a 2x1/4" gameboy like that for KeFF a while back but I can't find the photos...

Interested in your casio, but the rules require inclusion of prices. It also helps give us an idea of what you might consider a fair trade. PM me and let me know what you're looking for in trade, eh?
edit: photos always a plus, too

There is already an arduinoboy shield that allows for SPC700 playback. Also a circuit that works via serial port.

Yes, we tried the 2xLSDJ thing and once we'd added a headphone amp to make it work, we realized we may as well have something that allows us to add other signals in anyway...

What the prof said. ALSO:
As a chiptune band drummer, I've always used in-ear monitors with a direct gameboy signal to great effect. You learn what elements of the music to listen to. If there are a ton of places in the music with no indication of time, do one of the things that have been suggested.
I've also always wondered if it would be possible to modify the arduinoboy software to output a click track directly from the arduinoboy. I know that the arduino has been used for sample playback before, so it shouldn't be that hard, right?

Oh cool!
There's a 30k pot on the LCD board section of the schematics, I'm guessing that's it.

According to the gameboy schematic, it's 1k.

That being said, why would you do this? Are you just trying to replace a broken volume wheel? I think someone found a stock replacement part and linked to it on this forum at one point...
