Re: [TI 82/83/83+/84+] Houston... we have a tracker (176 replies, posted in Other Vintage Computers & Consoles)
oooookay so now I feel like I must be doing something stupid. I found my wife's calculator, which has never had any shell or HT installed on it.
I wiped all memory, installed Mirage, installed HT .22.
Mirage couldn't see HT.
Cleared all memory.
Installed Doors, Installed HT .22
Same BASIC error as before...
This is with a clean download of each file, and I'm definitely using HOUSTON.8XP - any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Re: [TI 82/83/83+/84+] Houston... we have a tracker (176 replies, posted in Other Vintage Computers & Consoles)
oooookay so months and months later I'm re-approaching this
I've done every kind of reset I can come up with (I can't confirm that the "remove batteries and hold down ON button" thing worked but I did it a couple times). I'm getting the same error.
I also reinstalled the OS on my TI 83+.
I've tried both Mirage and Doors, and I've tried both v.22 and v.3 of the tracker. Mirage doesn't see either one, and Doors says:
[x] Error # 514
BASIC Ex ERr: SYN
Any thoughts?

Yo 99% of people - including TSA inspectors - wouldn't know the difference between a backlit and non-backlit gameboy. In fact unless there's exposed wires and MAYBE potentiometers without knobs on them, nobody is going to bat an eye when your gameboy lights up.

Yo that was almost unreadable, but I think I get the gist. I agree with a lot of your assertions, but not your conclusions.
Playing drums in The Glowing Stars we finally moved to an in-ear system that piped guitar and vocals in along with the chip (never a click). It just gave us a consistent setting in which to do our thing and offered nothing but benefits. When a drummer is just listening to chip and only chip it's a little different, but it's a hard sell that "being able to hear what's going on" can ever be a major detriment.

Yo littleFM will allow you to hold multiple LSDJ banks with a drag 'n' derp. So far, derps seem to be more reliable than certain eras of bleepbloops, so I would take bitjacker's advice with a li'l grain of salt.
LittleFM:

(there's also an 0.5.1 but all it adds is experimental EMS support:

I backed for a rainbow set that I've been playing with for awhile (nothing concrete to show for it yet other than a nice filter I made on one of them) and they're really rad! Great build quality and I can't wait for MIDI!
It's nice because almost every time I go "ugh I need THIS thing I don't have one hrmmm" I can just build it on the patchblocks and have a simple hardware version in <30min.

Yo, I have a ton and I'd be glad to send you some real cheap - if I hadn't left them at work and then gone away on paternity leave. I'm sure I'm not the only one though, but if this thread hasn't gone anywhere and I make it back to the office, I'll grab them and let you know.
