I am thinking about releasing my Album on cassette and I have a dual cassette deck with dubbing capabilities. Just wondering if it is worth it, and where i can buy Bulk tapes WITH cases, it seems as if i can only find bulk without cases and i want to print out album art with them. Anyone have any opinions on this?

I've considered this, as well, hipster as it is. I can say off the top of my head, Salvation Army tends to have shit-tons of blank cassettes in cases. There's one near my house that's even got shitloads of them stockpiled, still in the plastic wrap.

Thrift stores are awesome for finding blank / reusable cassettes. They all have their own unique warbly-ness to them as well, which is always fun

I've always wondered... how do you guys change the tracks? I mean, the loading time... doesn't it kill the show? I've always supposed i would use 2 gb with the same 2 .savs and play each song on each gb to avoid the silence, I'll definitely do that

Yup, that's what I do actually. two game boys makes it so the gaps between songs are minimized.

It helps if you write a shitton of different songs on two diff carts on two different gameboys and mix back and forth
a mixer with nice cross faders helps as well smile

or you could just get shitfaced and yell at your audience in between songs

Hey there Vex!

The SKGB shirt was designed and printed by me and my friend Evan Cairo.

We would be more than happy to do a design for you!
However, we can also print shirts for you. We can do multiple colors (we've had good luck with three colors, but we're definitely open to try more if you like). We can print in any size, on just about any color,100 percent cotton, American apparel quality shirts.
Please let me know what you think, by pm preferably, and thanks for your time!

Mostly just for the FX.

^^^ yesss. Hahaha.

I use a dj mixer because when i perform live, among other things I like to tweak faders to add some rhythmic effects.
Also, because i like to, ya know, mix things live.

Nick can you make your own Roland SB-55 OPENSOURCE samplepack???
I am interested in!!!

Roland Soundbrush sounds AWESOME!!! Very very cool!!! Listen!

the sounds you're hearing are not coming from the sound brush. they are coming from the "SOUND CANVAS". they are two different devices meant to work together. the sound brush only sends midi info out, no audio. the sound canvas then generates the audio.

And people pay for this trash?

haha, it's great aside from that.

um...... yes you can i remember back in the day exporting drum patterns out of reason's drummachine sequencer looking thing.

in logic and ableton there is an export .mid function.

Hey there! would anyone be interested in playing a sub heavy bassweight after party? I'm in talks with some folks in brklyn with a large soundsystem to get an after party running. If anyone has any interest in this, please pm me!

We're trying to keep the lineup to dub / 2step / bass music type artists, but anyone with a decent low end who wants the chance to play on a proper system should definitely send me a pm. Thanks!

I've been writing some really sub-heavy stuff lately. Heavier than what you heard at Sprinkle Kingdom smile
