or nearly the "real deal" http://www.fairlightinstruments.com.au/ … eb2011.pdf

even if the proggie is "public" now.. its usage remains a mystery for many tongue

where's my bloody ST-09 floppy  smile

For convertion/edition I was just too happy to get AT LAST wavelab on OSX (Wavelab 7 Elements is $99 I thinl)

But for the archiving, sorting etc.. I rely on my memory

hehe thxx.. Amiga mix is coming... sooner or later smile

Check your DPClatency.. I spent month accusing my Hardsid4U of bad design whil it was my Bios's fault (causing ultra high DPC spikes, and therefore irregular latency on USB ports). Use dpclat.exe if you're on XP or latmon if you're on Vista/7

Moreover, USB2midi timers can ben unaccurate compred to higher grade midi interfaes but if the cable works well on other computers, DPC could be the clue.

if you're on Windows, don't forget to use an ASIO driver as audio outputs(ASIO4ALL if you're using your internal sound chip) to get lower latency/

I just realised that for Mame4all, the best results were obtained using Double Buffering instead of vsync... now most of the games, even "rich ones" run flawlessly without any frame loss... that's ace... however, I can't get one of my fave ones to un correctly (Raiden).. must have a bad dump.gotta do myself a cool SNES rom cards too ))

So yeah, Pixls, this little beats has got guts :

I thinnk Ill start experimenting witn nLöve to some classic demo remakes (as I do on flash)... this seems to be rather achievable een for a coding novice like me.

B TW, if there's any flash coders around, don't hestitate to PM me (and Pixel artits too smile)

All the SID based synths are cool too (Midibox SID if you're in DYI... or the Hypersynth Hypersid in between as they are both full Midi synths....) smile)

the best way is to pick audio from the DIN plug

soldering is rather simple but I think you an even find solderless plugs in pecialised shops

for the pin out scheme, follow this diagram http://pinouts.ru/Multimedia/AudioVideoC64_pinout.shtml

It's analog + the 2 small rectangular buttons below it.. and they're just a bit too small for my fingers smile

What do you mean by "rotation"?? you can set the screen to noraml, horizontal scaled, vertical and vertical scaled (but using the start/select buttons as triggers is a bit tricky).. smile

There some things you can now "forget" as they were due to mechanical limitations of recording medias. Now there's only a a small amount of chance that your tracks will end on vinyl for example.. so you can boost a bit.. But the "squared" curve of over Compressed/Brickwalled tracks is definitely annoying (and bad for your ears too smile)

yeah.. but I'm not a big Genesis/Megadrive Fan.... anyway as long as I can play to Psychic 5 and Gaplus, I'm happy smile

MMhhh the best way to make your whole track sound "louder" is not to try to punch everything at high levels.. on the contrary you should: Lower the volume of each track and boost the master to keep some dynamics. Some tracks do need a bit of compression (Kicks, Basses) and the most important, is to do a fine tunes Equalization on each track to avoid Frequencies overlapping and doing a muddy mix result. SO check all your tracks with a frequency analyzer, and remove/sculpt your tracks so that they fit together nicely.

In the end, if it still sounds a bit weak, you can go thru a limiter, but you'll loose dynamics (you'll get tracks with a square shaped waveform)

Got mine last week.. bit disappointed by sound with Mame4all. But I haven't studied all parameters yet smile
