[Andrew Kilpatrick]: This release is slightly bittersweet for me. After handling nearly fifty of the Pxl-Bot releases single-handedly, it’s about time I take a long/maybe permanent hiatus from Pxl-Bot. Time is no longer a luxury I possess, and as such I’m stepping down to focus on some bigger projects I have approaching (more on that nearer the time, but check here [http://andrewkilpatricksmeantimeblog.blogspot.com/] for any news regarding it). So this is not goodbye forever! Pxl-Bot will be left solely in the control of the other owner (Alex Kelly aka Artisan) and his new assistant (Frostbyte), so expect more releases in the near future under the Pxl-Bot banner. Just want to thank ALL of the artists that I’ve worked with over the past few months and thanks to anyone and everyone who has ever downloaded a Pxl-Bot release, or even visited the site. Keep safe! Xoxox
And now for what you came here for:

Making his Pxl-Bot debut and showcasing his first full release for some time, the fantastical ‘Deepearth.void’ brings you 10 tunes of funk and complex dance to put a smile on your face.
After the drone-infused short intro, the track ‘Coconut’ sets up the listener for what is to come in the rest of the release. Sharp and concise structure which swaps and switches between styles and atmospheres, complex melodies, countermelodies and basslines that warp around each other to form a think consistency, and a fuck ton of funk and dance. Some of the melodies are truly awe-inspiring, and from the off you’ll be addicted like this shit’s smack.
Following this, anthem after anthem is pumped from this forgotten master’s weapons of choice, with atmospheres ranging from the happy dream-state of ‘Honey’ to the intense dubstep skimmed ‘Death’ and the wide-eye pumping of ‘Cake’. The level of diversity here is truly astonishing, and made even more impressive by how ‘Deepearth.void’ has managed to master all of the styles he tackles, with gusto. If none of this makes you download this fantastic piece of work, then it’s your loss!!!

"I’ve always been a HUGE fan of glitch music. However, the line between good glitch music and bad glitch music is always a fine one, which may be one of the reasons I have such an attraction to it, because when you do find a good glitch release it’s going to be pure golden. Here is one such golden release.
What really sets this release apart however, is the application of bass and general compositional prowess in the releases’ construction and structure of the songs. For example, ‘Bee-Itch’ starts as the release means to continue, with a glitchathon introduction followed by snaking glitchy melody coupled by a writhing and booty-shakin’ bassline.
Six tracks, and moderately lengthened ones too, may seem a bit foreboding for a glitch-based release (let’s face it, it’s not the easiest of genres to consume), but the difference and variety in tracks and even within tracks doesn’t bog the release down too much at all. Just as the release starts to drag slightly, the mid-section of ‘f#_wH17_HIP’ pulls you back into enjoying the release (with what is in my opinion the highlight of the release) before slowly sinking itself back into a full glitch-‘dance’ track with ‘Gloop~GlOOp~Gl00p’. Whilst you may think by listening to the aforementioned two tracks that Psifork may do better to shorten his introduction and get to the “action” quicker, I found the slow, and enjoyable, plod towards the inevitable hooks to be extremely worthwhile.
EP closer ‘The Road Ah34d (Is Vast And Open)’ polished it off perfectly for me, with an easily danceable slow and drawn out syncopated drum pattern coupled with an unforgettable motif and perfectly complimentary bassline. Whilst this release may not be for everyone, and if you haven’t enjoyed glitch before this certainly won’t change your opinion of the genre, it is still an incredibly strong release with a hella lot going for it, though the emission of ‘March of Demoralization’ may have led to a smoother listen. Definitely a release WELL worth checking out!!!"

And now they join forces.
Entering the fray with a fist-pumping throat-ripping and eye-popping duet as an intro track, the dual forced fist of both AndaruGO and HunterQuinn is truly great. Traversing the softer tones of Hunter and mixing them with the harsher barks of AndaruGO before converging their love for sweat-inducing beats, the two duet tracks showcase a higher understanding of dynamics and the harmonious attention to each other’s’ details inspires awe.
Saying that, the four tracks, two by just AndaruGO and another two by just HunterQuinn, are nothing to turn your nose up at. The tracks showcase each artist’s individual talents, with the more experimental and thought-provoking and atmosphere-inducing subtle body-shaker works of AndaruGO synchronising perfectly with the precise face-breaking feet-bruising dance floor destroyers laid out by HunterQuinn.
With the creepy and dark tones of ‘Drillmissile’ interspersed with the dancefloor anthems of ‘Make It Moist’, and with a rounding off of the release with a second but equally as heart-stopping duet, this pair are both destined clearly destined for great things and make Pxl-Bot proud to have them as their first split release. All eyes on Cincinnati.

Tracklist:
1. AndaruGO & HunterQuinn- Neon Night Gliders
2. AndaruGO- Echo Layer
3. HunterQuinn- Bridgetrognomlin
4. AndaruGO- Drillmissile
5. HunterQuinn- Make It Moist
6. AndaruGO & HunterQuinn- Slime Family Project

The second artist to grace Pxl-Bot from Cincinnati this week, HunterQuinn breaks his debut through your earscape.
Pumping. HunterQuinn’s debut ‘Bourbon Back Attack’ can be defined almost entirely by this word. Never sitting still for a second, HQ spins and twists his beats and melodies which are melded perfectly for the dancefloor, with that typical Cincinnati chic gloss of experimentation (see ‘J33Z FACTOR3’ intro for more details).
From the fist-flinging intro to the ass-shaking cascade of ‘Fucking Dance’ and through the slower tension-rife guttural whippings of ‘Buttaface Bergade’, HunterQuinn has managed to craft one of the most danceable and pure addictive releases to date at Pxl-Bot, with a huge amount of professionalism to boot. Leaving almost no room to breathe, constricting you to a small dance-coffin, the tracks on this fantastic, well produced and down-right mindblowing release are to die for. Instead you can just go and download them for free here.

Tracklist:
1. Slippery Velvetine Slide
2. J33Z FACTOR3
3. Fucking Dance
4. The Peen Screen

Taking the place of the third artist from the expanding Cincinnati scene to be featured on Pxl-Bot, AndaruGO delves into the world of trance and dirt for his debut release, ‘Megadoomer’.
Starting the with title track, a dirty and gritty convulsion, AndaruGo then goes on to start as he’ll continue throughout the rest of the release on ‘Hokutou’, fist-pumping grime-inducing trance-esque chip sonnets. Featuring as many truly jaw-dropping moments as you can possibly fit into six tracks, from the pure trance breakdown into the schizophrenic melodies on the climax of ‘Shark War’ to the slow downed swagger moments of ‘Zawarudo’, this release showcases the exact reasons why the developing chiptune scene in Cincinnati is such an exciting one; it creates dance-floorable tunes with a mission statement of “defy the conventions”.
Rolling through the epic ‘Ur Heart A-splode’ it’s difficult to not imagine it in a live setting, with its pumping bass and drums leading you by hand through the debris it creates. This release is definitely a flare signal to all that AndaruGO means business, though whilst most debuts sound exactly like that, this debut sounds like the transition into something greater release through and through.

New Zealand’s answer to 10k, Fauxhound, delivers his stunningly bleak spit of a sophomore effort on Pxl-Bot in the form of ‘He Lives Forever’.
Opening with the sickly depressing tone to which the rest of the release would follow, Fauxhound’s masterful blending of spoken rhythm and meaningful words intertwined with glitchy and rolling drums and melodies creates an incredibly dark and gritty listen. Song ‘love + secrets’ lends a groove to parts of the vocal work before towering up into a cascade of chip sounds, whilst ‘door to door’ pulls its own teeth out before Fauxhound’s incredibly punk-esque dragging voice adds to the insanity. ‘diesleep’ carries a creepy and sleepy tone until Fauxhound begins to spit his depressed  pessimisms, before the final track barks widely with a slightly more optimistic but no less creepy feel.
From beginning to the finale, Fauxhound has managed to construct a truly unique and genius sound and style in his music. Taking everything that was good in his debut, he has improved into one of the most promising and talented chip musicians to ever have existed. No hyperbole needed.

And for the second release of Halloween we visit the other side of the spectrum, first brutality and now beauty brought to us by another returning favourite, VCMG!
After his astonishingly beautiful debut, VCMG returns having learnt how to make his music even pettier. From the closing melodic scales and harmonies to the releases’ opening, ‘Introduction’, through the creeping and bittersweet melodies and drum-work of ‘Waking Up In The Perseids’, VCMG keeps constantly catchy and gorgeous with his melodic work. Song structure-wise, the songs constantly shift under their own weight, with something bright and beautiful around every corner. The main difference between this release and his debut on Pxl-Bot is the cohesiveness of ‘Focal Point’. Sounding less like a compilation, all the songs intertwine beautifully to form one conjoined soundtrack to the disappearing summer; bittersweet and reflective.
In all honesty, it’s difficult to describe how truly fantastic these songs are. Scales, light-speed solos, pumping drums, soft arps and unforgettable tunes, what else can I say other than do yourself a HUGE favour and download it?

Tracklist:
1. Introduction
2. Waking Up In The Perseids
3. Surmounting The Highest Of Peaks
4. Warp Speed
5. Focal Point
6. New Beginnings Past Old Endings
7. Stars And Skies Forever
8. At Peace (Bonus Track)

Optimus Chad is back, and even dirtier than ever. Pxl-Bot proudly bring you your dose of the brutal to aid your festivities. Happy Halloween!
Starting with a healthy portion of sampling and noise, all hell is shortly unleashed within the second track, ‘Feedback Warrior’, a rolling exercise in tension/release with some truly crushing sounds holding the dirt together. ‘Optimus Chad’ has really come immeasurably far since his hard hitting debut; he now hits twice as hard, twice as gritty whilst dousing subtle groove and even more aggression over his work, meanwhile experimenting left right and through the centre’s face with his melodies and drum work.
The biggest and most notable change is the aggression. Sections of ‘Robotic Wasteland II’ are truly brutal, fist-pumping and gravel-coated pieces of anger. Every single part of this fantastic piece of work emanates hatred and snarls; it’s something that really needs to be experienced. And if just one of the angriest pieces in the history of chipthrash wasn’t enough, the release is rounded up by remix by Pxl-Bot co-owner Andrew Kilpatrick and more from Pxl-Bot buddies Starpilot and The MM Project bringing the track count to 13!! Spooky?
You’re Halloween is going to be a brutal one.

Tracklist:
1. From Utopia To Destruction
2. Feedback Warrior
3. 1 Sh4ll R1s3 I Sh4ll F4ll
4. M- Bit
5. BLASTER
6. BLURRR
7. Trypticon
8. Soundwave Superior
9. Face Down Fist Clinched
10. Death Is Dead OC Remix (Starpilot Remix)
11. June 1st (Andrew Kilpatrick Remix)
12. 2 Gud 4 Da Flea Market (The MM Project Remix)
13. One Shall Rise One Shall Fall (Starpilot’s Eyeballs Remix)
