are there any tutorials for this out there?

I really wish someone made a tute for iNanoloop. I've been fiddling with it several times but all the sounds I'm able to make are super-lame sad

I should probably do it ;p Im doing a basic one for a Swedish iOS music magazine that's coming out in three parts, but I have no word on when the release date is going to be for the first one... I might as well just do a YouTube vid. only problem is that it'd have to be from my shitty camera phone. hmmm

I think the new update is going to freak a lot of people out since it kills the presets. I like the new feature additions but for the new user it's probably a bad idea to not have ANY basic sounds to pay with

reviews are generally about putting together a bunch of hyperbole and convincing some music journos that you are cool enough to warrant their attention. from my experience, it doesnt REALLY effect anything much unless its in a really large circulation magazine / blog / whatever. but, the only way to do that is, of course,  to have been the focus lots of other smaller articles. just think how many millions of random band reviews there are, and how little you care about those.

honestly: meh. its good for the ego and some sense of self-justification, but you would be much better served by just putting effort into making your own fans happy. the best publicity is for people to be genuinely psyched about your music.

probably gumby sex... if youve seen the video, you know what i mean

for LSDJ to run well on iOS/Android/WP7/whatever, the interface needs to be rethought from the ground up, probably by making more extensive use gestures or physical buttons where available.

This is pretty much a given, I think.

Just imagine, swiping between LSDJ screens and entering notes with a little pop-up keyboard.

A single tear just rolled down my cheek

This is exactly what im thinking. There is no iOS performance sequencer yet, and barring an ableton port, a modern update of lsdj would be so amazing. The fundementals are already there, and imagine using lsdj with an updated synthesis engine, effects and 16 gigs of sample space? yikes

the animoog is pretty amazing for .99. they want to charge $30 for it eventually which IMHO is way too much for its current functionality, which dosnt support coreMIDI, background playing or Sync. so yeah... def get it now.

also... when the heck is johan going to make an amazing performance tracker synth for IOS?? its BADLY needed. hell, even just a beefed up touchscreen LSDJ for iOS would be absofucking incredible

bumping because Joey just posted his
