Thrift stores here are good, you just have to hit them up several times a week. I scored an metallic blue pocket for like 3 bucks, I guess they're sort of more rare?

Pawn shops can be hit and miss. Usually the guys just want to make a buck or two and don't really know/care anything about the stuff. I scored a boxed Super Mario RPG for 5, and a gameboy micro for 20.

Flea markets are just ridiculous. There's usually one or two shops from collectors who want an arm and a leg for the stuff. Nice if you simply want something, bad if you're looking for a deal.

I guess it's super off topic by now, but whatever. The problem was solved so this thread is dead anyways.

I thought the UT meant Utah and I was confuse.

Thrift store? What kind of thrift stores do they have in Spain?!?!?! How much did you pay for it?

You can get a restock (I'm assuming it was returned?) from Musicians Friend for $269. Not bad?

I also have an interface ready for action. I would love to help.

Bump: new items

Just tried this on the NASTIEST nes you'll ever see and it worked perfectly. Didn't even disable the lockout chip yet. Thank you!

Easiest (if you have a USB cart) is to get a mega memory cart, back the camera sav on that, restore it to your usb cart, then get the sav off that onto your comp.

When I did it it was a combination of desoldering and cutting/scraping. If your soldering skills are good you could just desolder the whole chip and then lift the pin you need. That's what Ben heck did. Optionally you may want to ground it by connecting a wire from the lifted pin to the third pin from the right on the other side. I'm referencing the picture that was posted. Just depends on how paranoid you are.

Interested about the dishwasher idea....will try!

Oh but I mean where? Or is there a specific guide you used? I've seen a few and they seem to vary.
