3 acoustic guitars, no effects.
1 drum set, with hot rod sticks, no effects.

BUT

an electric bass guitar, no effects.

is that okay? or does that disqualify me?

let's say i bought the following -

http://www.moderndevice.com/products/rbbb-kit or http://www.moderndevice.com/products/bb … le-package
http://www.coolcomponents.co.uk/catalog … cts_id=492

would this be a short cut to building your own arduinoboy? like, if i got these two things, would that cut down on the amount of work and extra components? would it just be as easy as connecting these two things and then loading the appropriate programming on to it?

i know nothing about the arduino world and i want an arduinoboy ASAP. i'd buy one of yours right now if i could, but i'm really interested in making my own.

I guess its mine.  I'll challenge nickmaynard to write a new baseball anthem to replace "take me out to the ballgame"

it can be in any style, so long as when we listen to it, we hear BASEBALL! unmistakably.

oh wow, haha. this is going to take some thought.

but i ACCEPT!

so, by 12:30pm sunday.

Yep, that's the one, but practically anything that comes in an 8 pin DIP (dual inline pin) package with "6N138" stamped on it will work.

awesome thanks so much!

I buy most, if not all, of my parts from Mouser.  The current ArduinoBoy uses Mouser part number 512-6N138: Fairchild Logic Output Optocouplers' 6N138 optoisolator.
