Yea so my point was, the launchpad i a 99$ 64 button grid controller, think of it that way and I think the benfits versus a monome become clear, at least until you get more into the scene.

piggy has plenty of chorus, if you just think of chorus as a time based effect and use multiple channels. Try doubling stuff up, and applying some pitch effects to the delayed track.

2 are real genres so just google that, and its the same but with chip based soundsets
