Sold my fb01. Dx7 for me. Much easier to program with no external control. The tx81 looks sick tho. Best part is u can program on the front panel easy.
I wouldn't call it easy.. I use a windows based editor.. piece of cake that!

Pffft. I think it's more a matter of I have 2 or 3 genesis (genesi?) in my closet not doing anything. Will wear my lack of FM synth virility with pride, thx.
my point was that the fm chip in those synths is pretty much the same as the one in the genesis... i even have software that converts patch dumps from the tx81z, and lets you put them and midi files into a hacked sonic 3 rom.

That depends on whether the [CC] license they chose allows derivative works or not. And if you intend to make any money, you'd have to work something out with the original artist where they offer the work to you under a different license.

There is a license fee (royalty) associated with licensing and using the composition. This is called a statutory mechanical royalty rate. This Federal rate is currently set at $.091 for songs 5 minutes or less in timing, and payable per song for each unit distributed. For recordings given away as promotional products, it is not uncommon to try and negotiate a reduced rate (e.g., 75% of the Statutory rate), or even gratis (free), however the copyright owner is not required to grant it.

I wouldn't feel bad qubit, i think this thread is suffering from "one toke over the line syndrome" , where people who already have a general sense of ambivalence with the whole modding community are like WHOA WHOA WHOA.
that being said, would anyone be interested in putting some leather upholstery on my gimpboy?

You can see your mobo revision if you look through the hole in the battery slot. Dmg-02 is the bad guy.

An imaginary tribute from five separate bands each representing five years of history, could be any period, I would suggest 1940-1945.
